Low Life

Yeah or Nay?
For me it's certainly the stand out strip in the weekly.  As far as I know there's not been a strip about the Wally Squad before, so it's nice to see how they're not your "typical" judge.  As for Mr Flint's artwork, well, who can argue?
I for one say more Judge Nixon!

I'll give a 'yeah' to this one.  I enjoyed the story, and have a feeling that it'll work even better when read in one go.  There are a few nice strong characters, moral ambiguity and lovely, atmospheric, dirty comic-book art from Flint.

A hearty "Yeah" from me. I'd like to see the strip take a break for a month or two after this new story concludes. It's had the time to establish itself, and I think it'd only be weakened by constant exposure in the weekly. I want to see a new Dante or Caballistics Inc., not a new Sinister Dexter...

The ending sort of confused me.Right,so Aimee doesn't want the Low Life changed because it's where people like her belong. So does that mean she doesn't really want it cleaned up?A psycho?Does she mean it's a good dumping ground for morally dubious Wally Squad?Does this fit with a Judge outlook? And someone so good on the birdie-would they just let it slide?
For the record,I think what I've just said is why it was a good story-plenty to lead on to with a complex, ambiguous character. But again, will she still be doing the 'right' thing as far as justice dept go?

And,yep,Flinty artwork makes my wallet grumble!

I thought it was okay as a one-off, but I can't see it sustaining momentum or interest for too long unless Williams is planning to use different characters as the focus for the stories.  Nixon's story is told already, and I didn't really take to Frank Millar's Sin City, which this strip seems to remind me of.
I agree with the hive-mind about Flint's artwork, though.
More of that, please!

Good to see from this week's episode it's not going to be all doom and gloom in the Low Life. The scenario's been well set up, and I thought the gear change to a more comic tale worked well, without sacrificing the seedy undertones.

Hey Dudley you're right Pandora in the Meg was about Wally Squad but only if you strip away the psycadelic top layer and could follow the art.
Only just read the first episode of Low Life but i'm liking the gist so far and like everyone else I think the Flint droids work here is awsome.
