Idea for a strip
« on: 17 May, 2002, 03:40:31 AM »
I remember a double page front cover from many years ago that depicted JD being involved in a civil war with Texas City (as they tried to cede from the union). I have thought to myself recently that this topic might be worth expanding upon by a decent writer  as a flashback series maybe seen from the Texas City side. Any thoughts given the current retro policy of 2000AD?

I really liked that cover, made me think of the American Civil War.

Good idea that.

It was while watching 'Gettysburg' recently that gave me the idea. The notion of a young JD involved in this type of conflict seemed like something worth exploring.

Yo

Cities involving Texas City would be excellent.  They sat out the Necropolis and the war with the sovs, there`s bound to be a lot of bad blood.
Hey has Dredd ever met Missionary Man?  I`d like to see that too.
 yours orientally,

Floyd

There was a Dredd meets Missionaryt Man tale in one of the Judge Dredd Yearbooks IIRC, and I believe that they meet (or at least cross paths) in the "Cursed Earth Asylum" novel by Dave Bishop.
