Anyone fancy a mulit part Big Finish cd story?
« on: 02 June, 2002, 02:49:06 AM »
So I was sitting on the Bristol pavement, no ticket you see for this Comic convention thing, and I so wanted to see Little and Large too...

Anyway, I was sitting there and this idea popped into my head. How about a multi part Big Finish Cd in the future.

Instead of the one off format at the moment, the story continues on a second cd!

It would have to be a story worthy of 2 hours, but it's worth BF considering it.

Oh well about this comic convention. I hear the Krankies are on next and I do love my women in school uniform....

Hi Scojo

They do regularly do double Dr Who CD stories, and then only cost ?4 more.  I could definitely handle something with a bit of meaty plot.

I've heard a few of the longer format Dr. Who audios and they do allow for more complex tales and further character development.  I would rather the 2000 AD audios were 2-CD releases - maybe if they sell well enough Big Finish will consider expanding the format.  Could push me to subscribe . . .

The second Dredd audio featuring Judge Death definitely felt like part 1 of a two-part story to me - Death barely gets going before they shut him down again.  Excellent build up but a pretty quick conclusion (and a surprisingly low body count for a Death story.)

Hey Judge Wapner, you ain't John Wagner?

Just checking!

(Ya never know folks)

The cd's last for about an hour which is a fair length of time. If you use the three act structure, say 20 mins for each act, there's no reason why the end should be rushed.

Of course each writer will structure it differently.
