Interesting survey - very US-centric and all the results aren't out yet but it is interesting to see a good representation of 2000 AD alumni.

And I'd expect to see a lot more bothering the Top Ten in both categories come later installments.

Why is it that when foreign artists go to work in the states everything that made them attractive &unique gets sucked out of them -with a few exceptions of course- and become US comic clones?
Mike McMahon better make that list.

John Byrne, at his best, is a fantastic artist- something you just can't take away from the man, no matter how much he might get on your tits.
Better than Alan Davis, though?
I think not!

I thought you were talking about Warren Ellis in the "Best Writers" thread. Let's be honest, he's a odd-looking cove.

I was just looking at the writers' list...
There can be no correlation between the fact that Byne continually slags off certain writers and the fact that those same writers are all placed more highly than he is.
And you'd be a fool and a Byrne basher to think otherwise*.
* Yes, Bill Hicks once said something similar. I nicked it.

No doubt he'll be beating himself off at coming in sixth, but his little posse of twats will be up in arms that he didn't come first in both categories.
I particularly like that photo of Frank Miller, btw, as he looks just like Beauregard the stagehand from the Muppet Show.

The final countdown has started with Stan Lee and Neal Adams at #4.
It does seem Grant Morrison and Alan Moore have the top spots sewn up on the writer front (its a pity I am not holding out hope that they'll be duking it out with John Wagner) with Jack Kirby unleashing galactic mayhem on the artists (along with... who? Bernie Wrightson? Or would that be too much to hope for?).

No sign of Michael Fleischer yet, either.

Perez and Gaiman - surely then that is a 1,2,3 for former 2000 AD writers then?
