Got Snow?

Had a hearty dose of snow here in Leeds-town, so much so that the decision was made by the sufficiently-high-ups that we could all go home after lunch! Hooray!

Alas, the department with which we share an office got the opposite decision, providing us with many a dirty look as we strolled out. Losers.

My carriage my avail me to my habitat tonight but I may have to seek succour in a local tavern till the worst abates.

We've got loads, it hasn't stopped snowing all day.

As well as snow all day, we had a snow thunderstorm this morning, which was a bit bizarre.

Plenty of snow but it's not sticking around on the gorund. Cars covered though. Notlooking forwards to the commute tonight The roads up for part of the way so instead of a minute or two stroll from the bus-stop to work I'm going to have to yomp a mile or so. Going from the time the bus reachses town to the time I have to get in I'll likely have to do it at some speed, in the dark, on slippy ground. Hiking boots are prepped and ready but that means wearing them all night...

Oh right. Thanks. For some reason I had a picture of Vanilla Ice in my head, but it was so unpleasant to read I stopped before I came across a line I recognized from the song. Which was itself unpleasant to listen to.

Took the dog for a walk through the wood at the back of my garden this morning, never seen it looking so beautiful.

You need to be somewhere like that to appreciate snow.Your post makes me feel very nostalgic as i lived next to woods for years and the snow/ice scenes from there i have never forgotten .It was magical.




I went for a walk in here as its just around the corner.

At my place of employment I was the only assembler to make it in and then had to listen to a load of half arsed phone calls along the lines of 'I'm too scared to drive'. Bunch of twats. No overtime for them this week then.

Quite a feeble start- but it belted it down in the afternoon.  Made a snowman with Lottie (our first) and then went sledging down an insane hill at the back of the house (also a first).  Cold, wet, and oodles of Dad points and wifely respect from Mrs T.

It's finally started here...enough to make me come home from the pub (much mocking ensued and will probably lose league position for it!!).

Hoping we get enough tomorrow to take the sledge out.
