No snow, no show for the eskimo!
There's snow "all over" Europe I hear... but still not in the lands of northern darkness.
Sweden will seriously lose a lot of tourists now that polarbears don't walk the streets anymore.

Seems that your snow was transferred here. It's been falling down all day and strangely enough it hasn't melted away. It's past midnight (here) and I ponder going out and do what some friends in Croydon did the other day and make a snow catpig.

Or I'll just shut up and watch a movie.

Woke up to about three inches that seems to have caught everyone by surprise, including the council, who don't appear to have gritted anywhere!

Bus route near our house was obviously not operating (no sign of any traffic through the pristine snow), so it was a mile walk to the Ring Road, on the assumption that if they'd gritted anywhere, it'd likely be there. We were wrong.

A thoroughly invigorating walk of a mile or so in rapidly falling snow, followed by a 30 minute wait during which two buses failed to show (and the old lady at the bus stop informed us that the previous two were no-shows as well) before calling it a day and heading for home.

An hour later and it's still chucking it down, meaning that there would have been a fair chance we wouldn't have been able to get home again if we had made it in to work!

Unexpected day off ... ooh, the possibilities.

Cheers

-sigh-  As I have access to a work 4x4 (and am only an hour's walk from a functioning light rail system) I've been unable to skive off in the physical sense at all, despite 6 inches of slowly-thawing whitestuff still mounded round the house.  Happily my brother is a layabout (not really, but he works weekends), so he was able to take the little fella for his first sledging outing yesterday (on my very own 1970s-vinatge sled, no less).  Very sad to miss it in person, but better he got the chance than not.

Snowing like a bugger around our office right now.

Did it turn to slush quickly though?

....Aaaaand it's gone!
The weather of the west coast is fickle and suffers from multiple personalities.
And people complain about the UK weather? Bah!

Snow in Belfast today.

But traffic at a near standstill on the way into work even though the snow wasn't that bad, in fact, it wasn't even laying, just melting as soon at it hit the road.

So, in fact, the traffic was slow because of a bit of water on the ground!
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
