Who are you, and what have you done with the real PeterWolf?

Cheers!

My weekly emails to Tharg and Dreddlines have been bounced back as undeliverable - is this a site issue or a 'bloody hell block that diddy' issue?

Why is it sometimes when SmallBlueThing replies to a post I see his old username in the main forum view as last poster. (did answer my question as to where Steev went)

I'd noticed this as well! But I'm trying not to let it worry me! I'm still here, just i'm now an incog-neato.

I don't see PetitBleuTroc's old username -- only his new one ...

Cheers

I'm thinking I should disable the ability to change your display name?

I doubt it's just me but I keep seeing a subject come up on the forum frontpage that says, "The subject you see here...", but when you go to the subforum it's something else entirely. Not a problem, just wondered what it's all about.

Can't say I'm seeing it. If you come across the issue again can you copy the link its giving you and paste it here? Thanks.

No. That way we couldn't have a brief fad for using your real name after somebody has  a tiff about something I can't remember.

More seriously, I just tried to add a reply to an older thread and got this message:
Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic.

Could this message be amended to read simply:
DANGER: NECRO-POST!!
This fool got more comic books than a motherfucker!

Never understood that daft necropost guff to begin with.  Electric shocks to anyone who attempts to give (usually a new user) any sort of static over that sort of thing.

I don't understand.

"Necropost" seems a good term for a reply to a thread which has been dormant for a while and it becomes mildly amusing through repetition. Like mulching in the Groo letters page. You're more likely to see people being directed to an existing thread if one exists rather than taken to task for reviving an old one, unless I've missed something.

I don't think any of it matters, so long as the post is meaningful.
That warning is an auto warning from the forum, not something we set up.
