I assume it is a play on Creative Commons, mixed with the idea of the village common or the common room. Also a lot of you are terribly common

Good idea - there are quite a few and the important thing is to have ones that answer people's questions as it might head off anyone starting another thread asking the same thing. We can then focus on other things.
