Has anyone been published?
« on: 27 April, 2010, 09:39:11 PM »
Zippo calling:

Has anyone had a script published in 2000AD or elsewhere?
I had a Future Shock published many, many years ago.
My advice? Always send you best stuff, let them see how good you are. Hone each frame and page. Make you speech punchy and succinct. Try to be original - I know its hard but try.
Good luck.

Interesting ... I suspect that Bolt and RAC will be along shortly in order to co-opt your talents into the service of small press's finest.

Can I ask which Future Shock?

Cheers!

Published? Pfft. I can't even get rejected.

My last submission took over six months to get bounced. My latest has been with Tharg since January.

A long time ago, I took a chance a sent in a future shock script. The then editor John Tomlinson graciously returned it with a few notes and suggestions. Taking his advice I re-wrote the script and sent it in again. To my amazement, he accepted it and 'The Mirror' was published in prog 666.
Dont worry X, I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting to hear about my latest submission too. There has always been a backlog. Keep da faith brudder!

Does that now make Zippo Creed a 2000ad creator. I think so.

It might well do ;)
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

or it could mean he struck lucky once and it'll never happen again. Does 3 pages a 2000AD creator make, not in my book, but then again I am a grumpy git.

get 2 stories published less than 1000 Progs apart and then I may change my mind.

It may not be the best resumé but technically yes is does make Heath a creator

Geez, there are people on this board who have had letters printed that would fill more than 3 pages.

I was about to make that point, not in any self-serving way of introducing myself you understand  :D
I will name him Tharg, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him.
