DreddCon

Hello all and especially The Mighty Tharg!!!

I know this subject pops up from time to time and i dunno if i'm in the right place to talk about it but what about bringing back DreddCon!!!!

I for one have never been to the ComicCon in the US but man am i jealous everytime i see pics and hear the latest news!!!

What do people in general think??? Surely if enough of us get together we could persuade the 2000ad team to talk to the Mighty One!!! Or am i living in hope??

Lots of is would queue up to go, but I suspect running a convention isn't top of Tharg's list, especially when they can just take a table at Bristol.

A shame, but there you go.

We want another DreddCon ala 6.5, 6.6 perhaps?

All turn up in a pub, chat, drink, sell / buy, happy days.

Cheap, easy to arrange and a good laugh.

I reckon HI-EX is rapidly becoming the forum con of choice.  :)

It's something of a fucker if you don't drive, though.

Granted, I was just a bit taken aback last year when I looked into it and discovered that the transport alone would have come to more than I've spent on the entire weekend at Bristol. :-(

Cheers!

Jim, if you wanted to make the trip for a long weekend- I'm sure the boltmobile could be a useful alternative to public transport.

Something to think about.

Hire a pub in Oxford and all descend en mass. I'm sure we can bully some droids into coming.

They say you need to spend money to make money, well I've never made any money so by that logic I've never spent any.
