Go-Machine

I love the rare occasions on my catch up when I've stumbled across a strip I didn't know existed. 'Go-Machine' is such an example and its an absolute hit. Ok so its an extended 'Future Shock' but it works really well. I do wonder if it was originally concieved as a one parter, a longer story or for whatever reason Tharg just asked for a nice tight little story and Sinister Dexter wasn't available to be used as polyfiller as it sadly is these days?

The reason I ask that is that it seemed perfectly suited to the three parts its told in. It didn't feel like an extended 'Future Shock' it didn't feel like a compacted longer tale. It felt right with just enough to mean it needed more than 6 or 12 pages but anymore would have been stretching the concept and characters too much and left them punching above their weight. As it is its a well crafted, wonderfully told and fantastically drawn little bantom weight.

Punchy.
