Thanks a lot. Regular words of support make thrill-suckers angry and confused  :D

I'm writing the DREDD IN SPACE encyclopedia which isn't too far from completion, but I'm not sure if I can make the October deadline I floated.

Hello,

I wonder if a SoMC1 reader might be of some small assistance? Last night another reader copied fragments of SoMC1 to identify a small typo. The copy sent did not represent any of the fonts (Judgement & Eurostile) I had carefully selected to accompany the SoMC1 PDFs. If your copies of SoMC1 do not have these fonts embedded, please let me know and I will upload replacments (which presumably will be larger in size but will feature the correct fonts). A copy of any portion of any page featuring one or two locale entries would be appreciated.

The horror that SoMC1 might have been released 'in the nude!'  :o

...or it might just be that Apple Macs can't display the fonts I used?

DREDD IN SPACE
has been unfortunately delayed because of research limitations, to be specific I have half a dozen locations supplied by my occasional co-researchers who neglected to supply story title references. I also - when casually reading some progs last night - noticed a few planets I had overlooked, so a more thorough fact-finding expedition of the Dredd mythos is now necessary (and time-consuming). If anybody wants to help locate galactic/otherdimensional materials in the comics/novels/audio plays etc that I have missed, PM me for a copy of the DREDD IN SPACE manuscript to see what I have so far acquired.

Shuffling the publication schedule about, next up is the fully-illustrated STREET JUDGE KIT PDF (November), then DREDDWORLD (all the locales beyond MC1 located within Earth's atmosphere). The latter is quite a big project, so I daren't schedule it for a release this year, but no later than early spring 2011 when I should have then also amassed all the data to complete DREDD IN SPACE.

Hello,

All of my Judge Dredd sourcebooks have been relocated to new URLS, as listed via this link:

http://excoboard.com/PlayDredd/124374/1751626

New widescreen, monitor-friendly editions of SoMC1 are in production, corrected and also expanded with data from the novels. The Progology is a year-by-year list of Dreddworld stories arranged alphabetically. Coming very shortly is Street Judge Kit, a fully-illustrated field guide to a Street Judge's uniform and gear.

Thanking you,
- John (project writer & illustrator)

Very neat new host, and quick downloads.  The 'Streets' location guides remain amazingly compelling reads, since I've generally no memory what story is going to be associated with a given street or block.  Occasional horror is experienced when it is realised that an entry comes from a Jude Janus story, but by and large it's a very lucky dip.   Keep it up John, this is the business.

I'm kind of in the same boat because I hardly have any memory of my research (an emergency brain purge was required to prevent a lethal case of thrill-power overload), so I can happily peruse the entries and be constantly surprised by the material.

The latest edition of the Judge Dredd PROGOLOGY is now available:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15673177/Progology.pdf

The PROGOLOGY is an appendix designed to complement THE STREETS OF MEGA-CITY ONE series. Story titles are arranged in a yearly, alphabetical order.

The PROGOLOGY will be updated several times a year, whenever a sufficient amount of new Judge Dredd or Dreddworld fiction is published to warrant a new edition.

Looks like some kind elder god has looked our way: Mongoose Publishing is no longer planning on releasing future volumes of THE MEGA-CITY ARCHIVES or any 2000AD-themed products on a profit-making basis due to commercial pressures -- but no doubt widespread critical and informed drubbing had a sizeable part to play, considering Volume 3 of the ARCHIVES underwent such a drastic makeover.

BUT, I rush to say, their line of miniatures for their Dredd war-game look very nice - if that's how they in fact appear when the customer receives them. No idea if they are pre-painted.

I am always amazed by the quality and level of detail in your reference works John. I don't do any RPGing myself these days, so have no practical use for them, but I always just intend to have a quick glance and then find I've spent a couple of hours browsing!

You deserve a medal for Services to Geekdom sir.
