My thoughts exactly TLS. There are plenty of droids out there deserving of some much-needed praise. I would still say keep it as secret as possible though. And maybe have a cheaper print copy that could be purchased by anyone (although contributors comp copies would probably have to go out the window due to the numbers involved!). Bi-Annual sounds about right.

This made me wonder if we couldn't make a "Thank You Comic" for a beloved, venerable and retired comics creator.

I like it. Ron Smith springs to mind (though hopefully he'd have enough of his eyesight left to look at it properly, the poor guy).

Sounds good to me - maybe we should have a call for nominations and then a vote?

First, though, does anyone want to volunteer their help in pulling this together?

Can I nominate Ron Smith? And Ian Gibson, though he may only be retired from 2000ad.

I don't know if i'd be much help in organising, as I'll probably be doing a lot of travelling very soon, so may not have too much internet access. I'll definitely contribute to it though

Should definitely be Ron Smith. he's getting on now and he's had a bit of trauma in the ;ast couple of years and his eyesight seems to be getting f**ked. My vote goes defintely to Ron. Second would be Cam Kennedy.

Fuck it, I think I'm going to take charge of this one. Might as well. Anyone want to help me out? Probably have to get it boxed off before Christmas to avoid clashing with my travel plans. It's also probably not necessary to make it secret, I seriously doubt the Smithmeister reads these pages.
Also, I have absolutely no idea where I'll find his address. All suggestions welcome

Okay, I'll kick things off.

I'll start a new thread in Creative Common launching the project and calling for contributions. I don't mind doing the editing again and whatnot, but I'd appreciate some help as well.

Right, since Supersquirrel Vol 2 seems to have fallen by the wayside, here's my submission:

Ay, sabrosa! That's a bit bigger than I thought it would appear!
I'm in the middle of reinstalling Windows right now, but I'll re-size the server copy of the image as soon as I'm back up & running...

That's great, Noisy. You know, Carlos is on Facebook so you could upload that pic somewhere and send him the link...

I've put that online and sent Carlos the link, Noisy.

I know it's already on line, so I don't know why I uploaded it again. Maybe I'm cracking up...  ::)
