Webcomic: Hadron Colliderscope
« on: 11 November, 2010, 04:34:07 AM »
HEY GANG.

For a number of months I've been a contributor (both writer and editor) for a webcomic that is pretty Future Shocky called Hadron Colliderscope.

We've been going since April, and tonight my latest strip, a 1-pager called "Target Acquired" has gone up, art by a fine young talent named Josh Mathus.

http://www.hadroncolliderscope.com/wp/2010/11/comics/targetacquired/targetaquiredfinal/

We're always looking for new talent as well, so if you're an artist, or you have a 1-3 page sci-fi script with a killer ending, give a shout to either series honcho Michael Bramley at bramley@hadroncolliderscope.com, or myself (wessel@hadroncolliderscope.com).

Enjoy!!

Thanks very much. I'll happily check it out, it came at a good time for me, I was just about to ask:

Does anyone have any recommendations for any 2000AD-related webcomics? Either fan-fic, or preferably original work by creators associated with 2000AD? Or failing that, just any good webcomic recommendations?

I currently only read The Order of the Stick with any regularity. And Penny Arcade, too.

HEY GANG!

The newest strip is up, "The Fine Print," coincidentally ALSO written by ME, art this time by another prolific artist for this strip, Lisandro Di Pasquale, by this is the first time we've ever worked together. Huh!

Enjoy!

Is it possible for webcomics to be "reprinted?" Well, it's happened, as only Hadron Colliderscope can do it! It seems Hadron honcho Michael Vincent Bramley has had some eye work done, so he can't draw for a bit. I've donated my failed CLiNT Magazine tryouts in order to keep providing material for the site til Michael's able.

So, this time it's my somewhat popular HP Lovecraft beer commercial comic, drawn by Adam Law (@Twulfster on Twitter!) called "A Word From Our Sponsor." I keep hoping I'll eventually get someone to actually BREW this concoction.

Anyway, enjoy!

HEY GANG.

Got plenty sidetracked the past week, so I forgot to post ANOTHER strip by ME, which was ALSO a failed CLiNT submission. Art by someone who I swear will be an upcoming talent soon enough named Ben Holliday, lettered by another great talent named Curtis Tiegs!

"Temp Backup"

Also, it looks like over the weekend, recovering site honcho Michael Vincent Bramley posted some pages from his own personal sketchbook. And he says he should be back in business soon enough!

Keep your eyes peeled, and comments are always nice too!

HEY GANG.

This week, a new original work entirely by Lisandro Di Pasquale, and NOT BY ME AT ALL (for once).

Lamenting the end of THE WALKING DEAD's first season? Get your fix HERE:

HEY GANG.

Back with another one this week, another "Story From Elsewhere." This one in particular saw print in the Fistful of Comics anthology done up by the denizens of Millarworld. The full story is at the link, and it's the first time this story has been mass-posted digitally. Art by John Lagasca, letters by the one and only Jim Campbell.

HEY GANG.

Another quickie this week, this time brought to you by the talent that is Alan Ryan! Alan also does a webcomic of his own, Faraday the Blob, but he brings us a short and, erm, "sweet" tale called "The Glowbug."

Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!

HEY GANG!

We took an unexpected week off last week, but this week we present what may or may not be a regular feature at the Colliderscope: The Painful Misadventures of Mitch Payne, loosely based on a real person. Or something. Ask Michael Bramley, he'll tell you.

Anyway, here's this week's strip, "First Contact." Enjoy!!

Well, Bramley went and snuck some content up onto the site without me knowing it!

First off, part THREE of this ongoing Peter Ellis v. Honey Badger series, CLUNK!
http://www.hadroncolliderscope.com/wp/2011/02/blog/clunk-2/

Second, Bramley announced recently that he's been authorized to write an adaptation of a WARREN ELLIS short story! On the back of that, on the front page of the site, is a GIVEAWAY CONTEST, with three creator-owned Warren Ellis books on offer! Check it out!

http://www.hadroncolliderscope.com

Enjoy, and good luck!

The moment is here:

Hadron Colliderscope is proud to present, "FuTube," a wholly authorized adaptation of the original short story by comic legend WARREN ELLIS. Scripted by Michael Vincent Bramley, art by Josh Mathus, it's a different sort of time travel story. Enjoy!!

Soooooo something a little DIFFERENT this week. A new regular recurring feature comes to Hadron Colliderscope, as we introduce the adventures of salacious supernatural sleuth of the future SHERBET LOCK, in a strip we call "Finger." Written by HC Head Honcho, Michael Vincent Bramley, drawn by the inimitable Josh Mathus.

Enjoy!
