Found a site with the latest BSG: B&C News round up. Things don't look good.

The Blood & Chrome 2 hour TV film is made but SyFy haven't made up their minds what to do with it, whether to air it or break it up into webisodes. I doubt there'll be a series unless ratings go through the roof, if it airs. My feeling is SyFy aren't particularly pushed about more BSG and they can't afford another big series so they're just sitting on it. Many pilots never air or are released long after they're made.

The longer they leave it the more dated it will look considering it's mostly a green-screen based show, which may give an indication of its smaller focus.

Crap, not good news at all gentlemen. I really do hope they at least air the pilot though- the flashback sequences in Razor were brilliant.
It had it's flaws, but all told BSG is one of my all time favorite shows- some truly unforgettable scenes. To this day I can still remember literally standing up with adrenaline when the Galactica jumped into New Capricas atmosphere!
Not something that's gonna happen watching the 98% drivel that's on the box these days...

Since Ron Moore has nothing to do with it, it may just not be BSG.

they should go direct to DOWNLOAD system,
likely with the target audience, they could make a pile of money on this, no investment needed, no stock to sell on,
with Itunes genius system, they could target us directly. if it sells by the bucketload, its a serious indicator for them towards potential value.

never let the suits forget the downloads and DVDs returns of Firefly.

Apparently Bear McCreary finished the music for the Blood & Chrome pilot in February so maybe we'll see it fairly soon.

I thought I read somewhere that this had been scaled back to just a few webisodes... I hope not though. Caprica was a noble effort but ultimately I felt it didn't really know what it wanted to be. A young Adama going toe-to-toe with chunky old school Cylons (as seen in the flashback in 'Razor') would make a great show.

that looks good, no way is that going to be Webisodes the hulking Cylon protype has my attention.  Looks like the action so many people craved that was missing from Caprica (it would've been arsom if the show was still going and led naturally into this butt his will do.
All digital sets, looks like they did a nice job of it too.

Virtual reality!  Man, I miss 1992...
That music is obnoxious and makes me hate that showreel.  Doesn't help it's just a catalogue of shakycam shots and cgi, either.

SyFy are likely sitting on this on the off-chance it's well-received, because the last thing they want is to have to spend actual money on programming - they hate doing that even more than they hate having to show sci-fi.
