Mick McMahon and Bellardinelli were amazing, yes. But you have to hand it to the Biz, he revolutionized comics (despite the ever-decreasing quality of painted artwork after it). I read the Horned God first when I was about 14 and I fecking loved it.

If nothing else, as far as Slaine is concerned, it's probably the most accessible artwork for potential 2000ad readers, and the more readers the longer 2000ad lasts.

Nah, that was my point earlier about Slaine being pretty well-known over here in the US. People bought the books because of Bisley's art but most who did, in my experience anyway, are pretty unaware that the character appeared in 2000ad...

An interesting kinda review of the Horned God hardcover over at CBR.

It definitely seems fair to say that the Simon and Schuster releases are seeing 2000ad in general get much more visible in the 'mainstream' US comic sites of late. Someone seems to be doing there job well (assuming that their job is to get 2000ad stuff a lot more visible on the 'mainstream' US comic sites!)

Nasty cough Molch has there.

Yes whoever was responsible should certainly be praised. Great to see more recognition on the wrong side of the pond.

Good stuff - a bit odd it isn't in the actual review section but Timothy Callahan is one of the best guys they have at CBR and knows his onions, so this is actually far superior to a review.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
