I'll be going to this again, it's just down't road for me. Not sure which day though.

It'd be cool to have a bit of a meet-up if anyone's up for it.

Ditto on the meet. Hive mind on venue and time? or is it still a bit to far off to plan?

I may have got Colin MacNeil and John Smith interested too, although they may try and deny all knowledge today. John as talked into going last year (main arm-twisting courtesy of Peter Doherty) but didn't have anything to pimp, this year he has Cradlegrave, which should be a big hit (and some folks might have Tharg's Terror tales Presents: Necronauts and A Love Like Blood, out at the same time, and Rian Hughes has been talking about his Tales From Beyond Science collection so there could be more). If he does go I'm bringing along Scarab #1 for signing, as it'll annoy him. ;)

I've done a bit more pestering (and cringing at the "arm-twisting" Freudian slip, although Colin also managed a Kindle/Kimble one which didn't make me feel so bad) Colin is looking into it for himself and John, as Insurrection and Cradlegrave will be the big current 2000AD trades out then it'd be a shame if they weren't there. Fingers crossed anyway.

Those two aside the line-up is already looking impressive, so droid heavy I can't be arsed listing them all.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Hi all

Due to the array of comic world talent on show at this event I'm seriously considering making tracks up north to it! So are any peeps stopping over on the Friday and/or Saturday night? If so which hotel is everyone holed up in? I'd hate to book into the wrong hotel and end up miles away from all the after event banter and drinks etc   :)
Do you have to put something witty here?

Would it be too late in the hour to relocate this to a venue just tad closer to South Auxtralia?

Thought Bubbles a lovely venue down by the canals in Leeds, but it'd be even better located on a beach in OZ!  :D

Too right. At night the eye follows the grand sweep of the heavens all way from the Galactic Core through the Orion-Cynus Arm then out to the Magellanic Clouds & beyond.

What's Leeds got that could conceivably compare?

Thought Bubble's main location 'Savilles Hall' is named after Jimmy Saville  ;).
