I assume this will be Wagner-written as I don't think anyone else would dare write the next chapter in one of his best ongoing characters.

It says in Tharg's editorial that it will be written by Wagner and drawn by Macniel. I expect the PJ Maybe story will be a prelude to Day of Chaos...
I never read the nerve centre page but if this is the case - Good I'm happy!  :D

A great finale to a great line-up. I hope to see more of that artist on Dredd and definitely more of Absolom

Two things though - does Steve Yeowell not like drawing backgrounds? There's a lot of blank space in those frames.
And this will really put the cat among the pigeons; is Carlos the right artist for Cadet Anderson? I preferred the B&W work in the Christmas prog- now who was that again?

Don't get me wrong, I bloody love the prog at the moment - I'm just nit-picking, and they really are small nits
The Jikan Chronicles Book Two - 90 pages of time travelling, demon hunting samurai action - out now from http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/PARAGONcomic

Always a week behind you lot... another excellent prog. Definitely will be sad to see the end of the Red Seas (#minorityofone) but what a way to head into the final chapter - god on his heals, off to stop the devil and if that fails going to hell to kick some shvt. Hurrah. Anderson was a great retro all-ages tale and Absolm was top of the class.

Afraid the Dredd art leaves me with mixed feelings - while the landscapes are excellent, very Dave Taylor, there is something about the faces that makes them seem very static to me. Found this a problem with the work on Necrophim too. I find it really hard to put my finger on what it is that I find off about it but it seems cold and computer generated, reminds me of why i never took to Richard Corben's work. No diss meant to an obviously talented artist (his blog has lots of amazing art) just something I wondered if anyone else saw. Again more than happy to see more of his work tho.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

Those were some terrific conclusions - Red Seas in particular really satisfied.  It'd be a shame to wrap up the whole series in just one more run, rather than just this particular suite of adventures - there's surely plenty for Jack's crew to do beyond interdimensional conflicts with Lucifer et al, and I don't think the potential of his supporting cast has even been skimmed.  I was very down on the current run in the middle, but it completely redeemed itself as the nature of the Cradle was actually explored and, Neptune be praised, resolved

Sticklemorse has been brilliant, but I felt the ending was a wee bit... standard.  Still, I hope to see much more and very soon from GR and TT - easily the equal to Cabs Inc already.

Cadet Anderson was good fun, and didn't outstay its welcome.  I hope to see more as long as it maintains this somewhat lighter tone, and I'd like to see the Ezquerras on board again - I think they bring a very welcome energy.

Dredd was a very solid 3-parter, with a good new character, great Dredd dialogue and some action - and amazing art.  I love Lee's Dredd, and I love seeing colour bringing his meticulous detail to life.

Lee's art on Dreddy was brill. Absalom was fun and an interesting way of telling the story and it looks like  there will be a new series. Hurrah! Cos story and art it deserves one.

I've been thinking of changing back to Clickwheel to save on the pennies and space. I decided that since this Prog ties up the current line up of stories to get the hard copy. (It gave me an excuse to go out in the sunshine too.) Next week's jumping on point (or rather two weeks time by the time I get it) I think I'll go back to Clickwheel.

Cover- Twas okay.

Dredd- Nice finish.

Cadet Anderson rounded off neatly in the fashion of an old-school thrill. The diversion that allowed Anderson to get away was a bit convenient, drawing the fire of three perps.

Yeah, I wasn't sure of that either. It occurred to me that maybe that was in fact an illusion created by Anderson as she does use that tactic later. I hope this is the case, but that wasn't really the impression I got. Either way, I really enjoyed Cadet Anderson, and I'd like to see more.

The Red Seas: My least favourite thrill of the current line-up, but it hasn't been bad.   I didn't notice that it was double the length, which says something! I'm glad it's finished for now though. I do like the humorous take on the devil.

Absalom: I've enjoyed this strip a lot, and the ending was no exception. Have we seen the second lady at the end before?

Yes we have, although it took an accidental reread to find that out. The last Cabs story, in Prog 2008, has Harry debating the fallout of the death of Ethan Kostabi and what's to be done with Jenny's baby with two other characters. Some bloke who represents the church and a woman called Yolanda who works for "Star Chamber." It's the same haircut and mole, so it's the same character in my book.

Absalom definitely top thrill while it's been in the Prog. Look forward to more in the near future Tharg.
This fool got more comic books than a motherfucker!
