Oxfam Comic Event 2011 Edinburgh - Call For Participants.
« on: 29 June, 2011, 01:39:30 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm organising another Comic Event for Oxfam, to take place on the 23rd of July at the MacDonald Road Library in Edinburgh. So far our confirmed guests are Gary Erksine, David Bishop, Ferg Handley, John McShane and George Low. We are still awaiting final confirmation on a few others.

I know this is a little late, but I was wondering if any other artists or writers fancied coming along and sitting on the panels? We're planning on doing 2 panels, one covering Commando and other War Comics, and the other will be just general comic chat. There will also be a stall selling comics and graphic novels. The event is due to start at 11.30am and will end about 4pm, where we then all wander off to the pub!

If you are interested, please contact me either through this forum, or via the following means:
Email: oxfam.f5808.comics@googlemail.com
Twitter: twitter.com/oxfambookseh10
Phone: 01314469169 or 01314460387

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is the first year this is on and I'm not away so I'll be there!
I will name him Tharg, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him.

if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Bah! Turns out we are working that weekend!
We have literally one free weekend all summer- and it is the one coming up tomorrow!

Sorry, we will get down eventually, I promise!

(Oh, and one of those work weekends will involve being in Edinburgh in mid August, so hopefully we can have a drink then!)

Let us know when you'll be down and we could have a boarder get together if you fancied it, on the other hand I'd quite understand if you want to slip in and out the West Port unnoticed  :D
