Generic cover, but well done.
Dredd was a bit hmmm... A bit too much of Dredd expositing, and re-treading of old ground with his thoughts on Maybe and Fargo. Some very nice touches of detail on the art, but despite liking individual panels a lot, Willsher's stuff still doesn't quite come together for me - it feels a bit unfinished and cluttered, and still doesn't suit the colouring job (or vice versa). Still early days, but I'm afraid the Apathy Party set the tone for me for this episode at least.
This 3iller is appreciably 6ier than the 4mer 1. A nice framing device, let's see how this goes.
Sin/Dex is firmly back in the groove this week, with a new chunky look for Dexter. My guess, and it's far from inspired, is that we are 6 months into the future of yet another dimension, and this is where the boys learn what the stakes really are, and what will happen if Tannenbaum wins. Razor-sharp quippery, as always.
Zombo is just wonderfully insane. Despite reservations about the strip as a whole, it just keeps pushing and pushing and pushing until I can't help but laugh out loud. I hope we're not seeing the beginning of the end.
Savage. Ugh, that's some awful dialogue from the two escapees. "Yes, now that we are free we can explain to each other the importance of what we have seen". Nice to see the tiger again, and great to see the effects of that famous nuke finally being explored. The rest... no, really, I still can't get past the fact that the secret underground railroad is the train to Liverpool. Rather than an elaborate surveillance operation couldn't the Volgs just have Googled (or Quartzed, I imagine) "getting to Ireland"? I'm loving it really.
Overall a great improvement on last week's damp squib, but still room for improvement.
