What a spiffy prog. Great cover and the new thrill of 3thrillers looks really good. Tip top art.

Has Pete Wells grabbed the cover yet?

I'm afraid not, I'm waiting for Henry to put it on his blog. I've sent him a beautiful version of Prog 485 to give him a nudge but no sign yet. It's killing me, I ADORE this cover!

Nice touch in Savage with the TFL poster.

It was a real, creepy 1984-inspired poster.

Good prog this week. It was top stuff all round but top thrills were Zombo, Savage and the 3thriller33 or whatever it's called. Nice to see Steve Yeowell get to do some stuff in colour. I like his b&w stuff but it makes a nice change.

Does anyone know what this loss they've mentioned in the Damage Report for the past two issues is?

I think Ben Willsher did this in The Skinning Room too, drawing a cadet on a mk 1 lawmaster. Makes sense to me, and is a nice little touch.

I agree, it makes perfectly sense, that's we need INFO!!!
It looks like some heavy weaponry and tech attached to that baby.
Bike Cannons?! Double-Whammy?! Pzooo?! What's the latest in crime-fighting motor-cycles?

Would be fun to know, that's all..  :geek: MADRE GRUD

I got back to England on Monday after a month in Japan and there, on my doormat, were progs 1743-1746 and the latest Meg. Foolishly, and against Tharg's advice, I proceeded to dive in and read the lot in one sitting.

Possibly due to prolonged Thrill Power deprivation, my Thrill buffers were in tip-top condition and were (just) able to cope and I survived the experience relatively unscathed.

And what great progs they were!

I'm enjoying pretty much everything at the moment, Dredd may seem slow moving when you're waiting a week for each episode but read in one go it fair cracks along.

Savage is great at the moment and the appearance of the Blackblood robots gave me a real thrill.

I'm even sort of enjoying Sin/Dex even though this storyline seems to have been going on for about 75 years with no progression whatsoever. At least it's funny.

Zombo is the funniest thing that's ever appeared in 2000 AD. It's just ridiculous. Every time you think it's found it's limit, it pushes it even further.

The hospital flashback featuring the love-sick nurse had me snorting with laughter.

The real surprise for me though was the 3riller, 6 Brothers. It was superb. A perfect use of the 3 part formula and a genuinely original and spooky story to boot. That last panel was so chilling...bbbrrrrrrr.

I can't quite believe just how good 2000 AD is at the moment and I'm so glad I'm on board for it.

"And Brad from Laser Division never even called?"

"I know!"

Ewing, a BUPA invoice is in the mail. Zombo has just given me a hernia.

I've been wondering that too...

Ben Wilsher in particular seems to enjoy drawing the contrasting Lawmaster bikes, and it's one of the little 'extras' I enjoy when he's on Dredd duties. Makes perfect sense to me, after all, police cars have changed a lot since 1977 so why wouldn't there have been upgrades in Lawmaster tech in the same period of time. It makes me smile that it's usually a cadet or lower ranking judge who gets stuck with the older (classic) bike.

Of course, I wouldn't like to see the design changed permanently but it's nice every now and then.

Oh yeah, good prog all round (bar Steve Yeowell's colour job - was he in a rush with this, or just getting to grips with computer colouring? It looked unfinished to me. I know his hand painted stuff used to look pretty good).

That was a top prog.

Even Savage and S/D were alright.

Plastic cups all round!
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Sharp intake of breath when I pulled the prog from its envelope. Great cover. Zombo still the killer story. Dredd and savage didn't thrill me much this week. Good start to 3rillers. Damage Report is worrying me. Should I be worried? Should I care? I find myself waiting for the prog just to find out how this single tiny snippet of news unfolds. Such is the sad state of my life. :)

Damage report passes me by - it's in slightly larger type than it used to be, but I still find it impossible to read, even with my specs on!

Losing (effectively) the Damage Report is the one thing I think that I dislike about going digital.  The text is just way too small for me to read in the CBR file.  So what's this about a loss...?
