The whole event was a blast and I was proud to be a part of it. Thanks to everyone who showed up.

I'm in the process of doing a write up about the con for my blog but will show you a couple of sketches just to get you excited.
By the way, I met Grant and his lovely wife and he showed me the original artwork for the subscription copy of Future Shocks (they will be over on the blog when I finish it). I recognised his style from the wrestling stuff that he had posted!

Anyway here are two sketches to get you in the mood.

Marc Laming

Grant Perkins he had to include the blog title as well  ;)

Grinning Demon - You should really be aware that before using copyrighted characters in a poster of this sort it's good form to ask the publisher's permission first. Marvel and DC may not be too happy to see their characters used like this (DC in particular doesn't like its characters to appear alongside other properties, so I expect would've refused to allow Batman to be used).

Even if we give permission for usage of Dredd, we'd want a copyright line to run somewhere.

we assume theyre not too fussed if theyre making money off it though i seem to have seen batman team up with hellboy, spawn and some future cop or other from some diverse brit comic ;)
don't get into an argument with an idiot. he'll drag you down to his level then win with experience.http://mogzilla-armer.blogspot.com/

I was told the story about the replies he had from DC and Marvel. He quickly got in touch with them both after the piece from Rebellion on here as he felt a bit shit.
It's not up to me to say what they said to him but I know it was okay. I'm sure he may tell the tale if he pops back on here or I might ask to relay it when I see him on Wednesday.

Marvel replied to an email?
I'm impressed.

They probably only replied because he owns a comic shop and sells their products.
