Um. Is it just me, or have all forum posts since 31st August disappeared?  :-\

Nope, same here. Damn, that's means I have to complain about Conan only being on for a week all over again.

Oh yeah, SKYRIM too! Think that's all.
Yeah, I mean I’m often surprised by why people expect us to do something normal—they shouldn’t. There are lots of bands who are willing to do all kinds of normal things; people should not look to us to do that. - Buzz Osbourne (Melvins)

Gutted. Spent ages to get my entry to the Summer Art Comp on the forum, that has vanished too!

P.S. That 'Modify Message' wasn't there before was it?

Oh and as for the 'Modify Message' it was put back a while ago. It only stays on your posts for a limited period of time before going naturally so your words are cast forever in stone!

The modify option goes on and off, it's seems a transient feature.

The web droids have completed the server migration but it looks like they used a week-old database dump. They have been altered to this and hopefully will be able to find the right one and upload it.

What it might mean is that posts since the server migration disappear (a few hours-worth vs a weeks-worth is a reasonable price to pay), so I, personally, won't be posting anything else until this is all over as it might not be here later. So no thinking you can re-bag the prog 1750 review thread anyone ;)

Sorry about the mess - someone more knowledgeable will be along in a bit I'm sure, but it might mean a little forum downtime or not if they can't fix it.

Oh yes and the shop is broken too, they also now know about this.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

It's like 1752 all over again, Pope Gregory XIII and the missing eleven days...

The next forum short story competition will be to describe that happened in The Board's Missing Week. ;)

This is great, we can reveal the truth about our offline selves safe in the knowledge that it'll all be lost, like, as the not-man said, tears in the rain, and then we can revert to our online personnas as if nothing has ever happened, but unburdened of our carefully wrought deceptions!

Hi.  I'm an insufferable but ill-informed bore on almost any topic you care to name, as long as it isn't sport, and that sport isn't racing dinghies.  Or sometimes cricket.  I like to read comics and SF books, and I really like Star Wars quite an awful lot and have since I was about 7, even though I know it's all crap and getting crapper.

I like poking at old stuff.  A lot.  But no-one wants to pay me to do it anymore, the rotters.

I also enjoy making and raising babies, although I can see that it's not for everyone.  I do more of the former than the latter, but I probably don't do enough of either.

Phew, I've been keeping all that behind my steely wall of online cool for so long, what a relief.
