Think I've done everything apart from the Riddler and the mystery serial killer ones now, and still yet to dig into the combat challenges.

There are an insane amount of Riddler challenges/trophies etc (you think you're nearly done, then you realise you've barely scratched the surface) - done the majority of them, but not sure if I'll ever have the time or patience to do them all, despite my OCD-like tendencies willing me on. I binged on the game big-style over Christmas, but rarely get the time in my day to day life to spend much time on games, so we'll see.

Quick aside;-

Did anyone get the comic-book that links the two games?

I felt like I'd missed the opening cutscene or something, because the game seems to just start with no explanation of what's going on.

Yep. Art was great, story not very gripping, was hoping for something a bit more...deep? I mean I understand it was just a tie-in to bridge the two games but there's plenty of directions it could have gone it but didn't. I enjoyed it, just not as much as I was hoping I would.

Finished the main story mode this afternoon between bursts of writing.
It ended rather suddenly - I'm only at 50% of the game!
It's a great game and loved the Joker singing 'Only You' over the end credits.
Currently trying to take down Two Face as Catwoman in the museum and looking forward to getting back in there and completing the Bane and Zazaz missions and all that stuff.

Stand out moment, apart from the way the music builds as you sneak around offing thugs and really making you feel like you're Batman, was on one of the Catwoman missions when you get the choice to save Bats or let him die. I choose let him die and the game ended, credits rolled to voiceover from Barbara Gordon pleading for help on the radio as the Joker has overrun the city and killed her dad... then it all rewinds and you get to choose the save him option.

Ah, cool so it's not massively essential but does give a guiding hand between the two games. Cool!

The art does look nice on quick perusal.

Haha, I agonised over that choice for what felt like an age! I figured Rocksteady would force you to do the right thing, but even so I couldn't bring myself to [Heath Ledger Joker voice] kill the Batman [/Heath Ledger Joker voice]. Arkham City's an absolutely fantastic game. As with the first game they really nailed the feeling of being Batman - or at least what I imagine it feels like to be Batman (disclaimer: I am not Batman). The only problem I had was that there's almost too much to do. Arkham Asylum had its share of secondary objectives and side quests but Arkham City is off the scale. It's almost too much to cope with. That said, as problems go it's a nice one to have.

It's a shame the Scarecrow never put in an appearance in because I loved his sequences in the first game (alright, maybe not the one where I thought my 360 was dying). I liked the brief sequence with the Mad Hatter but it felt a bit a bit insubstantial in comparison.

The combat though is rock solid. It's not enough that I can beat up a room full of enemies - I have to look good doing it. Taking down a room full of goons without getting hit is a fantastic feeling.

Is anyone intending to get the Harley Quinn DLC that's out at the end of the month? I understand it adds another two hours or so to the campaign and you get to play as both Batman and Robin. I'll probably end up playing through the campaign again in anticipation of the DLC coming out. I remember thinking Arkham City ended quite abruptly with Batman silently carrying the Joker's body out of Arkham City so I'm glad Rocksteady are going to flesh it out.
