Ampney Crucis: You know what, this is really intriguing me. I liked this episode a lot. Am I right in thinking that Edginton is combining all his 'universes' with this story? Leviathan!? As in, the same creature from the rather brilliant 'Leviathan' series all them years ago by Edginton and D'Israeli!?

I just got that reference on a second read through, it would be great if this tied in, the monster in the ziggurat could be symbolised by the eye in the pyramid from Leviathan!?
I will name him Tharg, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him.

Leviathan could also be a reference to the biblical beast, or the gatekeeper of Hell, or the creature from the Illuminatus trilogy (in that series the eye in the pyramid design is derived from Leviathan's appearance - a gigantic pyramidal single-celled organism with the eye representing the nucleus). If it wasn't for Dr Toten's appearance in the previous Ampney Crucis series I'd say it was a coincidence.

The demon in Leviathan was called Hastur though, so the link could be more thematic than direct.

Ampney was great. Lovecraftian style horrors from another place? Ah, grand. Angel Zero finally got some action in it and that was fun. Low Life has the best lines "Fat? Sumo physician diet thyself."
