Thrill of the Future: great to see Simon back on Nikolai Dante, and what a teasing picture of bleedy smile Nikolai!
Yeah. I was flicking through the Prog again last night and that image really struck me. Great expression.

Is it (The Wedding of Jena Makarov) thought to be the penultimate story or have I made that up?

Either way yeah can't bloody wait.

Well im about a week behind everyone else with the prog as usual.

Cover - Not to keen to be honest, Its well drawn but didn't do anything for me.

Dredd - Loved it. After P.J. Maybe seemed to sidetrack Day of Chaos its good that Assassination List has got us back to the heart of the story.

Ampney Crucis - Nice wrap up installment. I look forward to his return.

Indigo Prime - Didn't enjoy this quite as much this week for some reason. But its still perfectly acceptable.

Angel Zero - Still don't care.

Low Life - Excellent as always...although im not sure I see anyway out of this for Dirty Frank.  :o

Dredd's the best thing in the prog for me right now.

So, here's a stupid question; Why exactly was this run of Ampney Crucis called The English Assassin?

Possibly from Michael Moorcock's  'The English Assassin: A Romance of Entropy Michael Moorcock
'Cornelius is the 'English Assassin' of the title, although he spends much of the book near death himself. Darker in tone than other volumes in the series, the novel offers eight alternative catastrophes in a world of chaos and barbarous collapse'   Sounds about right?
I will name him Tharg, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him.

As the next story - The Entropy Tango - is also named after a Cornelius book then yes. It doesn't really explain why though, other than the vague "alternate England" thing.
