Damaged Goods - a gratuitous pimp for my 1st graphic novel
« on: 11 January, 2012, 09:34:56 AM »

So after a year or so of it being in limbo as a result of the Insomnia Press collapse my horror graphic novel is FINALLY coming out. Not got it yet but it is at the printers which is pretty cool after so many false starts.

If you liked the nastiness of the two Dark Judgement books its that type of thing... but worse.
Got some reviews up here
http://damagedgoodscomic.blogspot.com/p/reviews.html

Markosia are doing a pre-order deal at the moment with the option to save on delivery by collecting at the london super thing
http://www.markosia.com/wordpress/titles/damaged-goods/

Me and the artist are gonna be at the Cardiff Expo the same day so copies will be available there. I imagine Markosia will do them for the same price as above at Cardiff but I'll also have a half dozen or so copies I can do for £9 if anyone wants to get one from me there (if you do let me know here as I've already promised out a few). Everyone who gets one at Cardiff also goes in a raffle to win a page of original art from the book

Ok. Thats it. Hope you'll forgive the self promotion. I'll be back to the usual stupid dick jokes now

Looks great, very Taboo, and if it's half as entertaining as the reviews...

Sounds interesting, with some great quotes. Good luck with it.

Must be bloody exciting getting this out there at last – reckon I’ll be buying one. I’m a sucker for your partner in crime’s glorious art – I still have nightmares about that Teddy Bat of his. And yeah, I gather you can string the odd sentence together too, Rich… ;)

Where do i get it?
At all good retailers (always wanted to say that). Or london super show, Cardiff Expo, amazon, book depository, Markosia's website

How much do i pay?
Depends where you're getting it. You can actually get from book depository for 20 odd pence cheaper than the Markosia pre order deal. Or from me at Cardiff for less again

And, what does the spine look like?

THIS

oh, sorry, I mean it looks like THIS... so will fit on your bookshelf perfectly

And cheers guys. Thanks for putting up with my occasional bouts of excitement about this.

If you can do a reprint with a pale blue spine, I'll have it. As, inspired by Commando Forces, I'm applying feng shui to all my bookshelves from now on, and I'm lacking balance and harmony in the pale blue portion of the spectrum. Blacks, I have too many of. My bookshelves emit dark light like the void between galaxies. It's getting like when you open my wardrobes- you have to wear special glasses (anti-shades) to protect your eyes from the blackness.

But yes, I'll take one when they're ready.

Bit of info on the london show pre orders and the Cardiff Expo where there's a page of awesome original art up for grabs

http://damagedgoodscomic.blogspot.com/2012/01/damaged-goods-at-2012-comic-conventions.html

Again there are only gonna be about 30 or 40 copies in total on the day so if anyone wants one kept back for the 2000AD nerds pre-order price of £9 please let me know on here as I still have about 10 left. This is for Cardiff collection only I'm afraid and you'll have to let me know in advance, not just get one from the Markosia table as the ones on there will be a tenner.
Cheers

I think I'll be at Bristol and Markosia will definitely be there... but dont know if they'll be doing any special deals on this as sure they'll have a new book they're pushing by then.

Damaged Goods is a great book, but having read it, I wouldn't want to be alone in a room with the damaged individual who conjoured up such depravity.
