lol yep having any sort of job in the creative industries can be a total nightmare at times.
I work 9-5 Monday to Friday in a rubbish admin job, then usually go home and work 18:30- 3:30 or 4 am doing comics/film stuff, not to mention working most of the weekend.
But if you enjoy what you’re doing its worth all the hours of missed sleep, neglected wife rage and rubbish pay. (I think).
just too metal

Of course not wishing to add to the “gloom” even further isn’t the simple truth, which seems to be conveniently glossed over, that if you’re not a very good artist you won’t get paid as well or get as much work! By ‘not very good’ I mean not AS good as of course. Bolland, O’neil etc would wonder what all the fuss is about.

You'd certainly want to negotiate a decent page rate if you were to survive at the latterday pace of those two fine gentlemen!

I am happy do it for the love of it. A career is a dream, but would even just like to see something of mine published. Self published if all else fails. I've caught the bug.
