The story is 'Hot Night in 95' - it ran in the meg last year.

Hershey returned to mc1 and went out on patrol with Dredd. They encountered mass stonings and some sort of unspecified terrorist group called 'Rage Against the Megs'. Hershey was seriously wounded but survived and was last seen being stretchered off.

Ah, excellent, thanks DDD.  I've been Megless a lot longer than I was progless, although it's nice to know Hershey's back in action.
She wan't back in action long - she came back from her off-world exile, went out on one patrol with Dredd to blow off the cobwebs and got herself blown up! Presumably still in a med-bay somewhere as she's not been heard from since.

It brought a nostalgic tear to my eye. She used to get shot at the end of EVERY SINGLE meg story she headlined too.

Dredd's Day of Chaos has become a first class thriller.Must be the longest build up to an epic ever I think-      ( didnt this start with the agent Nadia arriving in June), been building nicely ever since.
Fantastic work John.

Yep, after a slow start it's really building up steam now. The start actually goes back quite a bit further than that - I'd expect the inevitable Day of Chaos trade(s) to collect the following stories:

The Skinning Room 30pg
Hot Night in 95 27pg
The Further Dasterdly Deeds of PJ Maybe 18pg
Nadia 48pg
Downtime 6pg
The Fourth Faction 12pg
Elusive 36pg
The Assassination List 36pg

Plus Eve of Destruction and any further stories - that's already well over 200 pages.

What is the deal with Logan's arm?  Is that his bionic one on the blink, or did he fall out of his treehouse and they've run out of magnetic speedheal bandages for a real one?

One of John Wagner's hobbies is torturing Logan (the comic version; not the real one). It's only a matter of time before he's horribly maimed again.

Every story a gem, Dredd very wordy but worth it,

Great as usual but I sometimes wish the days when Dredd would just walk into a room and hit people over the head with a big stick and make a witty one liner were back again.

Eh?

Just look at the tender touch on the arm, he's obviously about to (as we say around here) drop the hand...

Ah, noo i see it, very tender.
I prefered the action cover with the Nux in yer face myself.

Giggled at Middenpus handing Johhny his trademark helmet
I will name him Tharg, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him.

Late posting, but I enjoyed this Prog a lot. It's slightly worrying how bad my memory is though, sometimes having to look up previous issues to remember what's going on... It wasn't so bad this issue but last weeks..*

Anyhow, is it sad that I got a geeky thrill when Alpha was handed his weapons, particularly the technical stuff concerning the Westinghouse Blaster?  'Cartridges now come built in now and automatically recharge', was interesting. So it's basically an energy based weapon, and the cartridges are basically batteries.

Confusingly I saw Alpha shooting number 3 and 4 cartridges from a smaller gun in the third S/D files. The gun was bigger than the hand-blaster of this story, but smaller than the usual Westinghouse. And in one of those scenes he clearly had his longer gun holstered. But maybe that gun was a different model entirely...

Oh, yeah, waffle aside, I did like the stories too.

*Well, technically two weeks ago as I download from Clickwheel.

That should read "last week's". The modify function vanished straight away!
