Issue 3 is a real step up in quality - even though it has no PJ in it (not connected).

Does that mean no Black Ops Extreme, or just a (-shudder-) different artist?

Good stuff - very compatible styles, and you can never have enough Nick Dyer.

oh! That Devils heritage and Black dragon were a bit good. Age of Heroes looks even more amazing.

Thanks for the kind words, chaps.
Devil's Heritage and Warpaint are both very very strong strips.

I asked the strangely-bearded-but-nice guy at my local comic/toy shop in Bromley if he had issue 3 of Strip Magazine. He obviously hadn't heard of it, but had a look on his computer... and he offered to order it in! He said it was up to two weeks delivery. He even took my number so he could give me a call when it turned up.

I didn't ask if they charge more for that, mind you. I assume they don't if it's anything like the way my local newsagent used to operate.

Yeah, I know this is nothing new. It's just quite new to me. I'm usually one of those shy types who looks at the display, then when I don't find what I want, just leave. Actually asking the staff questions is a bit of a big deal.. although it wasn't today for some reason.

I felt a bit silly when he asked me who published it though. I couldn't remember their name.. (shame on me)... "I can't remember but it's an East European company, I think Bosnian... but most of the creators are British, so it's based here." What?

I can be a right div, sometimes. I wonder with a name like 'Strip' if he thought it was a porn mag.

It's not the best name for a comic. My brother was having a go on my iPad recently and saw the icon for the Strip app and said "Oh yeah? What's this then?" thinking it was something a bit saucy.

Heh. The cover of the first issue actually looks a bit saucy too with the lady opening opening her top like that....

Lovely though.

Has anyone got issue 1 and 2 that they would sell? I have tried ebay, but one issue is going to cost me near €10 including post :o

Don't know whether you have acquired them yet but if you haven't you can always order them from Forbidden Planet. Don't know what the P&P cost is to Ireland though.

Well worth getting.

First and foremost what a lot of bang you get in your book. Was really impressed how long that took me to get through and enjoyed it all.

My one concern is the already shifting line-up. 3 issues in, after all those delays and the content has changed this month and seems pretty different again next. Not a problem in and of itself but would like to see a more steady line-up as I miss Recovery Inc and hope we don't see other story shift in and out losing momentum.

On a side note I wonder when we'll see Kev Hopgood's 'Lawless' he thought that was due to appear in issue 4ish and still no word. Hope it turns up soon as really looking forward to it.

As I failed to mention up stream, the reason Nick filled in for me on Box is because between finishing episode 2 and being asked to draw episode 3 (over a year!) I had taken on new work - I can't speak for everyone but I'm guessing others had similar experiences. The logistics of editorial/distribution in the UK and publisher/printing in Bosnia turned out to be incredibly time consuming and difficult, and John's perseverance should be applauded. But I'm sure you can imagine over coming those logistics probably put a bit of a kink in the line up between issue 2 and 3.

Would be great if it could get into the newsagents with a jump-on issue.
A vol.2 No.1 might be the best plan.
