Nerd-o-rama!  Hope there's a few musical numbers in there.

I reviewed the Branagh Love's Labours Lost for a newspaper, and recall it as bizarre. The songs were fantastic and the Shakespearian aspects were great, too, but put together it was like a cut-and-shut car. So terribly misconceived.

It's the single best Shakespeare comedy, redone and rewritten by the nearest person - and I'm really not being hyperbolic about it - to Shakespeare in this modern life. Who wouldn't wanna see it?

Rendered Godders speechless?  Now there's a talent we can put to good use, Mr. Stone.

I'm just wondering what Bragnah's version of it has to do with anything.

"It was shot entirely on location at Whedon's house in Santa Monica in 12 days. The film was shot in black and white by director of photography Jay Hunter, largely using hand-held cameras."

Sounds like a load of old wank.

I'd say quite the reverse.  He's a marmitey fellow, but for my money Whedon's little 'family' projects are some of his best work - Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog, for example.  He has a real talent for sharp romantic comedy, and quirky character-based musicals.  It's not a play I like much, but  I'd love to see what he and his pals do with it.  Also:  Nathan Fillion, never less than good value, the Bruce Campbell of his generation.

As much as I like Buffy (quite a bit) this sounds absolutely appalling.
This fool got more comic books than a motherfucker!

How could you say such a thing?  It's got Riki Lindhome in it - she once made an episode of The Big Bang Theory almost watchable.

You probably enjoyed the three hours on an empty stage that was 'Dogville'. All for a bit of culture (not really) but I tend to go for a bit of entertainment in my entertainment. Not 'Scary Movie 5' entertainment you understand, but certainlly not Joss' self indulgent luvvie fest, on a camcorder in black and white in his house. No distributor? The system works!

I wonder if it will be as successful as Firefly and Dollhouse were...
