There's something about black and white artwork that is so pure

Definitely. I really love the 'warts and all' feel to original black and white art. I've painted colour pages too, which are wonderful, but they're nowhere near as raw. If you're into the process of comic making then black and white really is the pinnacle of seeing how it all works.

Yeah, definitely agree that the older 'warts and all' pages say so much.
Ive a couple of newer pieces in my collection, that im more than happy to have, but i do think its strange to see the pages without the speech bubbles pasted on!
Now that so much art is produced, to varying degrees, digitally, it does bring out the luddite in me.
All those little imperfections, the stuff pasted over, or whited out, the pencil lines, and comments/directions add so much.
A lovely glimpse into the process.

Wake had a bunch of pages from The Krool Heart for sale last year, at very reasonable prices (Rufus was (and is) selling other pages at far higher prices).  As the page on eBay is from the first outing - and the first episode - I expect there'll be a fair bit of interest.

Not from me, though!  The page I have is as good as I could hope for (Kano, Thrax, Danny, Mad Tommy, Wallbanger...) and I really don't need another.
