>Dredd - Liked it, but it seemed like the introduction of a seedy reoccuring character.  Which is good.  Art wasnt brill and I wasnt overly impressed

Maybe it would of helped if I'd noticed the comment was about the meg and not 2000, i'll blame it on the lack of sleep 8-)

dredd - enjoyable stuff light and a fun. plenty of violence. you need dredd to get back to basics now and then. and have one or two perps get away.

juliet november.- i will give it a while. not my first read next month though.

Devlin Waugh - pure class. wonderful art. he just looks the part. the story grabs you by the jugular vien litterally. wonderful .

Slaine- never took to it first time. i will read it and enjoy it. but compared to the current standard in the progs, this was in my feeling a mis use of a great character and great story line. woudl have held up without the use of slaine.kind of more Finn terrority , few years to early thoguh i know.

Darkies Mob,- WOW my first time reading it.this is superb today. back then it must have been the first thrill power overload. John Wagner proving once again he is shakepeare reborn. :~)

the TPO - this has got to get published as discussed in threads recently. makes you see just how close we came to the end at times. scarry stuff.wonderfully well written without any real malice.

Family- shaping up nicely i am enjoying the set up and scenario bing created. note the second gangster style stroy this prog though.

BLACK SIDDHA- TOP THRILL> this is excellent. great art. very queit socail comments.plenty of reference to culuture norms, which are not norms to all. very very good. this has everythign going for it.

sin and dex. ok quick smile. light moment.

overall great. though note one thing. the two gangster set story lines. the mix could be better. a one off dredd can be placed anywhere. using too set pieces the same is not so clever.add in sin and dex and really you get almost three.

in all teh meg delivers in spades. for me. with B/S bad karma really separting the boys from the men.

this is a dont miss issue.what a start to 2003.
total and absoulute thrill power.
no messing. Pat mills delivers but waht else did i expect. BRILLANT.
I AM VERY BUSY!
PJ Maybe and I use the same dictionary, live with it.

NO 2000ad no life!

Dog's 'nads, innit?

special mention for Gordon's Runyon takeoff even though he slipped into the past tense on page 6 ;), Black Siddha, which looks like it could be a big time return to form for Mr Mills, and Darkie's Mob, which I too have never read before. But I'm going to enjoy doing so. A lot. But it's all good, really.

Dredd - Good story, don't really like the art - it put me off reading it straight away & I usually read the comics in page order, but once I'd started you get used to it.

FireStarter - Pretty good, has a chick-flick feel to it which may be why it hasn't got too good reviews so far.  I quite like chick-flicks most of the time so that's okay (but Bridget Jones' Diary SUCKED DONKEYS).

Devlin - Wonderful & brilliant.  But then it is MacNeil, innit?  Brilliant & wonderful.

Slaine - didn't read this as I read it earlier last year.  I thought the "layser" guns were crap.

Darkies Mob - Ace!  What a bastard!  Looking forward to the next installment.

Future Shock - Yeah yeah read it many times... it's a good one but it's not a 'shock' anymore.

I thought GOLD was going to be a turning point but, however, my gripe about the reprints continues...
STOP reprinting more than one thing at a time! Having only 4 (Sl?ine) or 3 (Darkie's Mob) episodes per issue is annoying - reprints should be a chance to collect the stories in one place (or at least as few as possible) I'd've rather an extra episode of Darkie then the FS.  GOLD001 was a brilliant collection of 1 story.  GOLD002 is a missed oppotunity.

T.P.O. - Lovely stuff, but why does David insist on talking about himself in the 3rd person?

Family - Haven't read it yet.

Black Sidhe - Looks great, not sure about the story yet.

Sin Dex - Um yeah whatever.
Better set your phaser to stun.

David might like talking about himself in the third person.

Did anyone else notice the scene lifted straight out of Miller's Crossing in Family? Nice one Morrison!

To be mentioned once in the megazine may seem fortunate, twice looks like jammy gitness...

oh yea

next judge 'palmer'
i can see it now thargy babe !

good meg

slaine, i didn't remember he was from some odd past earth, always thought he was a scot with a sword.

the line art is really good, you can see things a lot clearer than the comic without all that DARK SO KIDS CANT SEE BLOODY STUFF darkness

darkies mob,.... you have no idea how i was expecting a person of african origin and non pc stuff when i saw that heading,,,,, especially after editor talking about pc stuff

great dredd

is it me or that devlin thing with vampires BUT didn't we have a 'same area vampires' story started in the xmas meg which has disappeared and now kinda started again... perhaps i is losing it..

first off i must say this MADON

okay got that off my chest it was a fantastic issue i liked everything in it especially bato loco and darkies mob (i want more) anyway there was one thing that wasn't mentioned in tpo a certain sin/dex story that went missing in prog 987 (y'know the one with the final ep of canon fodder and that ahem cover) i was wondering was there a reason it was replaced with a vector 13 strip?
