This week...

Reading (books) "Series of Unfortunate Events #5: The Austere Academy" by Lemony Snicket.  (Last week I was reading "Dracula" by Bram Stoker.)

Reading (comics) this weeks' 2000AD & Megazine, plus re-read League of Ex Gents (after finishing Dracula for the further adventures of Mina) and continuing my back-prog mission of progs/megs (currently circa '94)

Listening: (latest buys) "Lipstick Traces (a secret history)" - Manic Street Preachers & the Kings of Leon album
Listening: (old albums currently on circulation) Bentley Rhythm Ace, Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream, Blondie's Eat to the Beat, Gorillaz, Metallica's St. Anger.

Watching: (on video) Buffy series 7 / Angel series 4
Watching: (on cable) repeats of Drop the Dead Donkey / Simpsons / Friends
Watching: (films) Scream, 2001 A Space Oddessy.

I'm eating a Snickers bar (no, they're not Marathons any more)

later I will be

listening to Tom Waits

reading The Essential Spike Milligan (again)

and trying to ignore the bloody television, which my empress insists must remain switched on at all times.

I also like barbecues, but they're hard to do underwater.

Listening: Hmmm. "Just like Blood" by Tom Mcrae, "Queen of soul" by Aretha Franklin, "Hatful of hollow" by the Smiths, "Lateralus" by Tool, "Magic and Medicine" by the Coral, "Bringing it all back home" by Bob Dylan.

Watching: Smallville, Six Feet Under, 24.

Reading - The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert Tressel.
(currently working my way through a tsack of comics too - tonight it'll be Grant Morisson's Gothic from Batman: LOTDK)

Listening - er, the 80's soundtrack of Vice City?  Especially Wave 103.  Last CD I bought was Medium 21's Killings from the Dial.

Watching - Six Feet Under is about it for TV.  I watched Chris Morris' My Wrongs... on DVD yesterday, and Tom Selleck and Gene Simmons in Runaway on video.  Currently trying to convince my girlfriend that Braindead is funny enough to mitigate the unparalleled gore.

I'd stand more chance telling her that Anal Sisters 4 is a romance.

Reading - not a bloomin lot book wise, just something that Mrs WoD gave me to read called IIRC the chimney Sweepers Boy or sommat like that.
Reading (COMICS) - Tooth and the Meg, plus the first collection of Y the last man (or whatever it is called)
Watching - TV - not a lot (it's the summer draught on Sky), so just 24 and Alias and new Malcolm in the Middle (and Bo Selecta).  Waiting for new Stargate, plus anything else half decent sci-fi-ish.
Watching -FILMS - Matrix Reloaded (still haven't had chance to see this yet, so hopefully tomorrow night), plus xXx on VCD.
Playing - Trying to get time to finish Timesplitters 2 on PS2.

WoD.

"somebody else who likes tool!! well coool album...."

me too, me too!!

Today I started reading "Firing the Cathedral", Michael Moorcocks new Jerry Cornelius book. Just finished, or still going through the Appendices of The Illuminatus! Trilogy. Tooth obviously, although I haven't read a Meg for 6 months now. Someday soon, I shall be having a whole day of reading through them all. Joy! Full stories!! Still need to read Hellboy too before the film comes out.

Listening to umm, Ministry's "Animositisomina", David Holmes & Free Association, new Voivod album (which isn't bad at all, but nothing special really). Umm, anything and everything in my mp3 collection, when stuck on random. Right now it's on Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz Vol 2. Great!

Watching Futurama Season 3, Solaris the other night (Hmm, not bad, good atmos, bit girly really). No evil Sky in my house. Recently watched Breakfast of Champions (Kurt Vonnegut Jr book) with Bruce Willis, Nick Nolte in a dress :o), Barbara Hershey!!!! and other mad people. It was a hoot, I'd recommend it with the advise that it's well off the top shelf.
Yeah, I mean I’m often surprised by why people expect us to do something normal—they shouldn’t. There are lots of bands who are willing to do all kinds of normal things; people should not look to us to do that. - Buzz Osbourne (Melvins)
