A bus ride away in Palmers Green/Winchmore Hill area. Usually to be found in Enfield Town once a week where I often buy my prog (and Meg). Are you going to tell them these are now almost impossible to find in WHSmith there, or am I?

Now I did see a chap wearing this T-shirt on your home turf. Wasn't you by any chance was it?

No, not me I'm afraid. Haven't lived in Enfield in 11 years and rarely go back.
Was born, and lived for 23 years, just off Carterhatch Road not far from Forty Hall. Then moved to lower Edmonton before moving to Enfield Lock area. Now live in South Cambridgeshire, 20 mins from Cambridge City Centre. I used to have my progs and megs reserved for me by the newsagents at the bottom of the town near the library. Couple of very nice Indian fellows run (ran?) it. No idea if it's still there but it was a great newsie to tonnes of magazines and comics. Only place round my area that sells 2000 AD is Tesco and McCalls newsagents so I just subscribe now. Easier that way.

I was living in Palmers Green when I drew Judge Karyn for the Meg.

Spikes

And the Cursed Earth McMahon art print arrived today.  Cheers, Tharg

Looks superb, and is a nice little bonus, all told. Now, just need to get some signatures on it at some point.

A fine book. I'm a bit curious as to why there isn't a Pat Mills intro comment.

They needed to leave a few pages for the comics

A good question but Pat didn't write either of the 'banned' stories, which is the point of the collection. I may be mistaken, but I believe he's done intros for Cursed Earth collections before.

Yehaah! Finally got my copy thanks to Denise and in spite of DHL. Lovely thing, agree the Eagle covers would have topped it off and were some of Bolland's finest work. Signatures by Lowder and Wagner emminently appropriate since they wrote the banned episodes and provide the intros.
No 38 of 250.

A hotbed of creativity, £shops, tanning salons and nailbars. I jest. People are very friendly round here. Much more so than Crouch End these days, which is more my home turf as I spent most of my life there until a coulple of years ago.

Must say I was (and still am) confused to see Pat Mills credited as script robot for Chapter 11 Battle of the Burger Barons on the Credit Card.

Out of curiosity- what was the total print run?

"Not enough to satisify the unprecendented demand," said a spokesman.

;)
:D
In France we call that "Une réponse de Normand".
It seems that this question is Taboo on this side of the Channel, and I don't really understand why.
Is it because the regular print run was only twice the limited edition print run?  ;)

Thanks but as I am a season ticket holder at The Lane I'm at the ground, and their 3 shops, every other week.
Typical of them to open a shop in Enfield after I have left though.

I'd have been living in Palmer's Green and reading it at that time as well.
