Anyone received PJ and Doomsday yet? Expected them on Monday based on past performance and was very surprised when they didn't turn up today either; Maybe tomorrow (see what I did there).

Gotta be honest, I don't keep track of the books. It's a nice surprise when they turn up although the last 10 volumes still have their shrink wrap on them.

Mine have arrived today. (My wife opened them thinking they were something else.)

'Life isn't divided into genres. It's a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel ... with a bit of pornography if you're lucky.' - Alan Moore

Cool, hopefully that means they'll turn up. Does the PJ volume have the Peter Dherty and Ben Oliver stories; I'm suspecting not based on front cover credits and page count but it would be a shame as they are important in showing PJ's escape to South America. One of the minor prices we pay for the set format of the collection I guess.

Mattofthespurs

Yep, as if just by mentioning their name, mine have just arrived too.

The PJ volume is a wonderful thing, goes all the way to the Christmas episode: a must-have.  Picked it up with the Prog this morn and have already snuck off for two surreptitious reads.  Does appear to have one ghastly unforgiveable omission (shakes fist at sky, "MOLCHERRRR!"), probably because it's already bursting at the seams.  Anyone care to guess what's missing...?

Trent

Based on the cover credits either one of Liam Sharp's early tales or Wot I did during Necropolis

Please direct any complaints about the book's contents to the editor of the series, Matt Smith ;)

I'm presuming that anything post Emphatically Evil will be in the Tour of Duty volumes which as far as I can tell have not been mentioned anywhere as part of the collection. Unthinkable they won't be and I'm hpoing for 3 volumes (46  to 48) so it includes the later PJ story and some of the non-Wagner material omitted from the Rebellion trades.

Trent

Wow, just received PJ and Doomsday - the two biggest volumes yet including every story I could hope for. I seriously expected some omissions from both due to page count but they clock in around 250 pages each.
PJ has everything up to the Christmas story - I give up, I can't see any omissions
Doomsday includes
Bad Frendz,
Worst of Frendz
Gun Play (yay!)
Scorpion Dance
The Contract
The Narcos Connection
Doomsday
Volt Face
The two Doomsday volumes give a comprehensive collection of the storyline, all we need is an Edgar volume to follow that story thread to its conclusion (I'm expecting we will get this with the Armon Gill stories).
The books might be smaller than the old Titan trades but contain everything you would want to see.
Incidentally, extras in PJ are covers and an interview with Liam Sharp while Doomsday has covers and an interview with someone by the name of David Bishop about how he approached Doomsday given the pagecount and crossover nature.
Wonderful stuff!
