Looks really cool, I'm sold. Can't help but make Black Mirror comparisons, especially given the lead actor!

Yeah, looks great - I think Alex said it would be out in January.

Maybe different release dates in US/UK

I think the trailer just gave away a big spoiler: Warning, er, possible spoiler!
The boy might also be an android as we see him (for a split second) cutting his arm, probably to see what's under the flesh.
The film looks very interesting, hope it is as good as it looks.

My favourite Black Mirror episode, too. Same actor, well-spotted  :)

Hearing good things about Ex Machina, sadly it's not out over here until April.

Colin YNWA

Saw a trailer for this the other day on telly (or some such) and the most astonishing thing. See Ex Machina (normally of course proceeded by dues) is a term I have only ever seen written. I genuinely don't think I've ever heard it said before.

And boy do I pronouce it in my head differently... after all it does mean 'Ghost in the MACHINE' so ya know...

...live and learn huh...

...and yes this is a tangent so what!

GordonR

It means 'God from the Machine', being a stage direction in classical theatre, when insanely complicated plot complications could only be resolved by having an actor dressed as a god winched down from the heavens to fix things with divine magic.

Hence, deus ex machina plot resolutions.

Ghost, God yeah yeah ya know bloomin' heck always splittin' hairs that GRennie... you'd think he'd never read me being a dumb ass before!

The Police gave you a bum steer, though there's a distinct lack of god with the title in question.
