Just had an email that the item is out of stock and I won't be charged. Bit gutted but ah well.
Same here.  :( Can't say I'm too bothered tbh. It's a nice t-shirt but I probably wouldn't have bought it (or tried to) if it hadn't been on offer so not a real loss.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Likewise. Bah.

Got mine today.

BTW it's not quite the same as the picture. It has "Eagle Comics TM presents  No.8 on the top of the drawing.

Mine arrived this morning  :D

Mine too.

I wasn't keen on the Eagle Presents text. I understand Eagle did reprints of 2000AD (or did they do their own Dredd stories for a while? The relaunched version of Eagle, I mean since the original predates 2000AD. My dad used to get it when he was a kid and he's in his 70s.) But the T shirt would be better without it.

A small criticism though, it's pretty good just the same.

As far as I know the Eagle stuff was all reprints - (re)coloured and resized for American aspect ratio comics.

I have a few and in one they have even re-ordered some of the pages (DNA Man) but I didn't realise years late when I read that story in the case files.

All of the Eagle Comics stuff was reprints from 2000AD.  It had been resized (with panels having to be cut and pasted to fit a different size and shape of page) and coloured for the US market, though was also available down my local newsagent.  The only original material was the covers by top flight Tooth artists of the time (Bolland, McMahon, Gibson).  I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say it helped Bolland break the US covers market.

Eagle Comics is unrelated to the re-launched Eagle comic.

For some reason I don't yet know (wonder if it's covered in McManus' book?) the Eagle Comics run of Judge Dredd reprints was continued on the same numbering system by Quality Comics.  After one or two issues with continuing cover art the quality dropped considerably.  Instead of properly re-sizing (and shaping) the pages they were just squashed.  Covers were either cut and pasted from old artwork or commissioned by artists unrelated to 2000AD.

Bolland did some great covers for the Eagle reprints.

The image on the cover/T-shirt though is not Dredd though and comes from near the end of the Cursed Earth where another character is dressed up to look like a Judge and sent off to act as a distraction.

Was it Judge Jack?

SPOILER ALERT. I'm not sure I can add spoilers yet. I checked my copy of #8. The cover is of Spikes. He has just been been killed by the robot army. Dredd and Tweak put a spare uniform on him and send him off on a Lawmaster on auto-pilot with the last part of the Land Raider. You can see the rope on Bolland's drawing where he is tied on to the bike. Judge Jack died slightly earlier.

Thanks for the reminder - I did suspect that
Judge Jack had died by that point
but couldn't remember.  How could I forget
Spike's blaze of glory
?

p.s. I'm pretty sure you can use spoilers - just type in <open square bracket>spoiler<close square bracket> at the beginning of the bit you want to hide and <open square bracket>/spoiler<close square bracket> at the end (I don't know how to escape square brackets being parsed as tags).
