O Lucky Stevie!

& NICK ABADZIS! Look's like is going to have start buying Doctor Who comics for the first since the glory days of Steve Parkhouse & John Ridgway in the 1980s.

Because of FOUR of Britian's best!

CrazyFoxMachine

Yes.

Titan have shown astonishingly good judgement here - I anticipate fantastic things :D

O Lucky Stevie!

Gah! Have just noticed that's Robs PLURAL there. Make it FIVE of Britain's best.

All we need now is John Smith & Mike McMahon on Capaldi.

Sweet mother of God how fantastic would that be. Christ on a bike that would be comic nirvana (or Sonic Youth if that nirvana referred to bands... damn I'm confusing myself.... ahem anyway).

Alas in less good news the farce (or legal necessities to give it its correct name) of the right issue in the UK continues. We (the UK readers that is Stevie you'll be fine) won't be able to get these... well we  will of course just it'll be a hassle, least ways while Panini still have the rights to UK comics. Not sure how long their contract is?

Whilst hardcore comic fans will get there hands on them, it's a shame paper copies won't be in WHSmiths and the like. It could have been a good introduction to comics for a few people. Still, that's licensing issues for you...

Hawkmumbler

Two giant thumbs up from me. Im a happy Dalek.

Paninis embargo can fuck right off though.

Actually, scratch that. John Smith writing Capaldi is what we think that we want.

The book that we need Smithy to write is
The War Doctor
.

Oh Colin, you're such a wag. Stevie nearly choked on biscuit then.

What this means is that we  in the colonies will be able pre-order these puppies. Remeber, this is Diamond that we're talking about.

I wonder how long Panini's license runs for? It's a shame there's this roadblock to seeing the Titan run in Smiths for now.

Cracking line-up of creators though.

IndigoPrime

A smart move might have been to run the Titan material within the Doctor Who mag (although I guess that would have impacted on its existing strip content), but hey-ho.

Apologise as I thought there was another thread for Doctor Who comics but this is the one a Google Search dragged up.

Anyway looks like we can add Si Spurrier to this list. That'd do pig, that'll do.

Bloody excellent news.

I, Cosh

So, what (if anything) would people recommend picking up for someone who isn't interested in Dr Who but does like the majority of the featured writers and artists? Are the comics separate enough from the tv series to be enjoyed in their own right?
