This... annoys me.

On multiple levels.

Hawkmumbler

I've already said me' piece. It's shite.

The cover art looks a bit like The Dark Knight Strikes again. I thought it was fun (and I'm quite certain it was meant to be such)

Here's the actual interior art. I'm not sure if it's Miller at his prime, but I think the pages looks quite good.

I don't know how much heavy lifting Janson and Sinclair might be doing, but that (and the rest of the preview) isn't half bad. Touch of JRJR about it, no bad thing. Shedloads better than the cover anyway.

I want to say that the interiors look like Miller is maybe doing rough breakdowns and Jansen is doing finishes in ink. Oh and that cover looks like a spitting image puppet of Reagan dressed as supes.
We're werewolves not swearwolves

The Adventurer

Supes appears to be having trouble passing a deuce on that cover.

Idk. Seems to riff on the art in Dark Knight Strikes Again.

Which I'm planing on reading (it and Returns) again someday, before Master Race.

Imo Kubert and Johnson is killing it with the art on DKIII!

That's a pretty interesting gallery. The new stuff certainly looks good, although who knows how it'll read?

The pinup stuff is weird. Some good drawings but you basically have a bunch of great artists trying, and failing, to recreate scenes from the original. That in itself should be enough to explain why DKR occupies the pedestal it does. Shaun Murphy's Superman takedown and Janson's own futurist effort are the two which really stand out by doing something different.

Oh God. Now I feel like buying a digital DKR because I'm so far from home.

Oh yeah, that cover's shit but isn't Supes supposed to be annoyed by the little prick, hence the frustrated dump look?

Hawkmumbler

And did Frank really have to outline Supermans dong on that cover? :|

Maybe not but, sometimes, that's how tight clothes work.

...sometimes, that's how tight clothes work.

And that, your Honour, is what I tried to explain to the arresting officer.

Ha. Just noticed my unfortunate username/subject mashup.

Gah its that fucking stupid middle panel again. How are their necks intersecting like that. Sorry Miller, you used to have it but that was back in the 80s.

Link Prime

I can't take it, I just can't.
This is just too much.
Yeah, you can criticise the guy to some degree, but Millar? MILLAR????
