eBay advice please?

Hello

I apologise if this topic is elsewhere (if so please can you direct me to it) but I am thinking of selling some of my comics, etc on eBay.

I suppose I would like some basic advice. 

I know there is a 10% fee on the item when sold which includes the cost of p+p and that pay-pal also charge a fee.

Is there anything else I really need to know or is it that simple?

Any advice or thoughts would be welcome

as a buyer, whom spends far to much!!!! 
a reasonable opening price makes me interested, where it goes from there that is not controllable,
the challenge as a seller, is the risk it is not what they are seeking, that is business though.

BUY IT NOW works for the less appealing impulse purchases.
