I've waited 10 years for a HD Crash Bandicoot collection and new games.

'Sniff' I'm not crying, honest.

To me this looks absolutely amazing. Like a culmination of the previous games before it. Freedom from Zelda 1, RPG elements from Zelda 2, puzzle elements from Skyward Sword and so on.

Seems like it has tons of stuff to do, that can be done in several different ways, in a world that can be interacted with in even more ways. I'v seen gameplay with everything from using the shield as a snowboard, using logs to traverse a river to push boulders down on enemies. Every element seems to have a use. The developers has said that night and day even plays into how hot or cold it'll be. Perhaps leading to that during night a slope will be covered in snow, but not during the day.

One cool thing I saw someone do was cutting down a smaller tree. The tree fell to pieces and one branch blew away with the wind, through a fire place. The branch caught fire and started a massive grass fire that caused massive damage to a nearby enemy camp.

Think I might even get a wolf Link amibo as well, which can be used in the game to call it in as support (with the heart stats crossing over from a Twillight princess save).

Before then, I'll probably give Last guardian a go. Which also looks really cool :)

The Zelda games are generally really good. They've become very formulaic over the years though and the series has been in need of a kick up the arse*. Looks like this could be it.

*Having said that, the last proper new Zelda game - A Link Between Worlds, is arguably the best of the lot (it's certainly up there) having perfected and streamlined the 'Link to the Past' style that the games have been following for a couple of decades.

It's funny - I've been playing video games for over 35 years - and I've never so much as looked at a console Zelda game.

This is as close as I got back in the day...

Saying that, I only owned an NES when they were first released - so my exposure to Nintendo has been somewhat limited!

Watch Dogs 2 looked like it could be entertaining as long as they get rid of the clunkiness that seemed to plague the demo.

Resident Evil 7 is what I have been waiting for as an excuse to get excited for VR.
