There will be free multiplayer trial for Titanfall 2 (all platforms, 2nd to 4th XII). So... I urge you to give T2 a try.

Definitely Not Mister Pops

Finally finished GTAV. S'good. The last mission is  bit of a slog, which is slightly disappointing given the immense fun of the earlier missions. Trevor Phillips is probably my all time favourite videogame character. Going to dick about with the online mode now. Mister_Pops is my GTA user name if anyone wants to vicariously shoot me in my big stupid avatar's face.
You may quote me on that.

I've no idea if I've just made a terrible mistake* or not, but I've decided to dive into The Destiny Collection (on PS4).  :o

*'Terrible' because I'm either going to suck badly playing a FPS MMO-type game solo or I'm going to suck really badly if I team up with other players in a fireteam because I'm so inept** at FPS games. How I made it through the 'prologue' on my own, which is designed to be played solo, only dying twice I've no idea. (As far as I can tell if you die and respawn then anything you've already killed stays dead, which helps no end.)

**Not so inept that I didn't finish original Doom or Quake or Hexen II back in the day but I'm used to being able to pause and MMOs seem rather unforgiving in the 'pause and take stock' arena.

I played Destiny when it first came out for roughly 6 months solid. Its great fun but a huge, massive and gigantic time sink hence why I stepped away before starting another expansion. I*think* there's been a few patches since that make it easier to initially level up yourself/weapons so good luck! Try and get involved with a fireteam and take part on a raid (vault of glass is the one we completed) as these are easily the most fun and rewarding part of the game.
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

I played Destiny's Child when they first came out for roughly 6 months solid. They are great fun but a huge, massive and gigantic time sink hence why I stepped away before starting another girl group I*think* there's been a few Little Minx since that make it easier to initially level up yourself so good luck! Try and get involved with a boyband and take part in a gig (moshpit is the one we completed) as these are easily the most fun and rewarding part of the gig

Playing lots of XCOM 2. Vive la Resistance! I was doing really well (admittedly on 'normal' or whatever rather than 'classic', as found the Strategy game baffling at first and kept dying too many times due to things I didn't understand) and hadn't lost a single troop all the way until researching Plasma guns and power armour.

Then the aliens brought out the big guns too and well, so long my squad of veterans.

Very enjoyable but something not quite the same as XCOM 1. Think I just prefer the idea of defending the Earth over the guerrilla warfare strikes of the sequel.

Anyone playing The Last Guardian?

Damn fine game. I'm totally invested in the welfare of Trico.

Completed it today. While some gameplay elements angered me a bit more than I would'v liked, overall I really liked it :)

anyone else tried the resident evil 7 demo yet?  wasn't sure about the fps view but it does work well.

Yeah, I'm really impressed with it. Graphics are stunning and the gameplay is more in line with the original games - jumps/scares and mystery rather than the gun-toting mess of games 5 & 6.

Will be getting the game on release day

Cheers

No, but I started playing the remaster of the original because it was free on PS Plus. Thought maybe I could trust Wesker this time around.

I'm hearing a lot about this, but so far most people have cited the way the camera/viewpoint works.  I'm quite happy with that aspect of it - unsure what the issue is.

What bits did you have problems with?

RE7 demo and the free Xwing VR mission make me want a VR headset more than is sensible.

Haven't tried the Resi 7 demo yet but got it downloaded. I've heard nothing but great things about it (big return to form, genuinely scary etc.). Feeling quite hyped but it's made me realize I never played RE6. I really disliked 5 and 6 got worse reviews so decided to dodge it.

Now though it feels wrong to skip it and go to 7 so I might pick up the remaster and try to soldier through it for completion's sake! Have built up a bit of an RE collection over the last couple of months thanks to Xbox sales, so have Zero and both the Revelations games to play too. Too many games, too little time.
