Are there any further signatures on the deluxe version? I'm not sure if I can make it to the GOSH signing.

Trent

Really looking forward to my deluxe edition. If only parts of the Judge Child had been banned. I would love a full sized version with the colour spreads.

Geoff

Are the bookplates ordered from the 2000ad shop due to arrive before the GOSH signing?

Obviously arrival can't be guaranteed, but are they being sent out with the intention that they'll arrive in time (or not..)

Is anyone able to enlighten me? Molch-R perhaps..

Having ordered the bookplate, I sense a double purchase coming on. Apart from the additional cost, it would be a shame not to have all the signatures together.

My bookplate edition was waiting for me when I got home; #19/250 according to the bp. Lovely volume as would be expected.

Unfortunately, I can't make it to the Gosh! signing because my sister's getting married (again) on the 16th and I can't get out of it.

Since this volume follows on directly from the 10th Anniversary CF #1 volume and stops just before 'Judge Caligula' it would be smashing if we could have a similar volume with The Day the Law Died epic in 2017/18.
'Life isn't divided into genres. It's a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel ... with a bit of pornography if you're lucky.' - Alan Moore

Trent

That looks so good, can't wait for mine to arrive!
The Day the Law Died is probably best presented in the old Titan volumes, full size and nice repro. Being fully black and white a deluxe volume is of dubious additional merit.
Plus, the Hachette version is due through the door in a couple of weeks.
The Judge Child is another matter, however.

Molch-R

Just a note before anyone asks - the Mick McMahon prints that come with copies of the bookplate edition are being posted separately so don't worry if they don't arrive together.

And yes, we're trying to get all the bookplate editions out before next week's signing.

Trent

Whose signatures are those on the bookplate edition?
Can't make the GOSH signing sadly so will have to make do with my cherished signed 1981 Judge Dredd annual and Prog 156 with Brian and Mick (along with John (Howard) and Ron Smith.
Happy times in Dean Street back in the day.

This is a fantastic volume, beautifully presented.

And it is wonderfull to see those missing 4 episodes back in print. Some amazing artwork by Bolland and McMahon, it's criminal that it's been missing for some 40 odd years.

The reproduction is great.

I do have one gripe though. For an "Uncensored" volume, a total of 7 pages are missing by my estimation.

Cover to Prog 74 by McMahon.
Cover to Prog 82 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 5 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 6 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 7 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 8 by Bolland
And Cliff Robinson's recreation of the cover of 2000AD issue 61, that was used in 'The Complete Judge Dredd' magazine (I don't know the issue).

The reproduction of the covers for the two Titan volumes is a little weird as well.

Just received my copy today and think it an excellent piece of work. These over-sized editions with all the colour are, in my humble opinion, the way to go from now on.
(Interestingly, I never gave up believing that one day the banned episodes would return!!)

Other than the Termight Edition of Nemesis I don't recall any edition including the Eagle Covers.  You are right though, it is a shame as they are superb and original.

I guess that the Titan volumes have been cropped and zoomed to use as frontispieces which is possibly why they look a little peculiar.  They are good quality though.

The omission of 74 and 82's covers is a rather peculiar one, particularly as 74 is Satanus.  I would have thought that it would have made more sense than the Cursed Earth map from the Dredd annual, particularly as that includes details from the Judge Child quest that wouldn't follow for quite a while.

Amen.  I still want them to carry on the Case Files in this format.  Here's hoping.

Aren't there Eagle covers in the Zenith books?

Yes, they are.

At the risk of being pedantic they are the Quality Comics covers.  That said, fair point.  Nowhere near in the same league as the Eagle comics covers so the key point of it being a borderline criminal omission is valid.
