The back cover says that issue #6 wont be out until april. Is that correct?

I, Cosh

My digital copy said March 12th.

Nb fucking great stuff Monty. Really liked everything I've see from Mike Diwling anyway and this story is really interesting. It's always interesting to see sex used in an intelligent way in any story. Maybe more so in comics. Really looking forward to the big climax!
We never really die.

Montynero

That's just a typo, Brian. It's the same date in March.

Each issue of Death Sentence has 5 pages of advice on making comics. In issue 5 we pass on all the facts & figures re print comics: costs of printing, packing and distribution; how much of a comic book's price goes on making the comic, to the publisher, retailer, distributor & creator; lots of advice on publicity, serialisations, press releases, working with publishers or going solo and dealing with shops directly. (Bolt-01 helped with that bit, he knows his onions.)

It's all here: http://www.comixology.com/Death-Sentence-5-of-6/digital-comic/69226

Thanks for your support. It's appreciated.

Behold! The cover to Death Sentence #6!! Containing thirty pages of astounding Mike Dowling artwork - the best stuff he's ever done. It's got epic finale written all over it.

With this cover I just wanted to paint all the main characters together for the first time, and hint at far more of a superpowered vibe with the glowing hands and so on, without losing the sensibility that links the previous issues together. On the other covers the characters look like ordinary people, the sort of thing you'd see on the cover of the NME or something, which was the point. I took my inspiration from magazines, not comics.

Death Sentence 6 is also fairly unique among the comics on the shelves in that it gives you a clear view on the point of life by the end, which isn't bad for 3 bucks.

You can order it from any comic shop right now, like this one http://www.disposableheroes.co.uk/preorders/february-2014/preorders-for-19/02/14/other-publishers/death-sentence-6-of-6-/prod_15560.html in the UK,

or this one https://www.tfaw.com/Comics/Companies/Titan/Profile/Death-Sentence-6-Of-6___440925 in the US -

or from comixology on 13th March 2014

Cheers

Cor! That looks impressive, Montynero!

Sadly I was a little late coming to the party, I think I might hold out for the TPB/ Hardcover (whichever one is published).

It looks and sounds like an exciting comic, something which I'd happily lap up. And Mike Dowling's art is must see as his work in the Meg right now is outstanding.

He's an artistic giant! His colouring and character acting in particular. Best Anderson for a dog's age, in my humble view.

Lovely stuff as ever Montynero, I too will be looking forward to this being collected.

It's been a ride Montynero!

Well my issue 5 finally arrived yesterday and I have to say it's all building up nicely to an epic finale.  One slight complaint though.  The "scene" on the cover appears nowhere in the actually comic!!!  This is clearly misrepresenting the actual contents and should be rectified immediately (or made available as a glossy poster, one or the other I'm not fussed  :P)

haha! Yeah, the cover only really makes sense after reading Issue 6. Which is, as you say, as epic as epic can be. Mike really goes to town!

Thanks for the kind words, Mabs, Cosh, Hawkmonger, Judda and Bat King.

If folk want the collected edition order it from your local comic shop if you can. You get it cheaper the earlier you order, generally, and they'll post it to you. ( Forbidden Planet International have a discount offer of £11:62 reduced from £16.99 for instance, though that won't last long:  http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/death-sentence-hardcover) Comic shops are the heartbeat of the industry and if we don't buy through them the whole industry suffers. It's out on July 8th, a 196 page hardcover, and there's thirty odd pages of brand new bonus stuff in it.

It's also available to order from any bookshop. And through Amazon of course, though there's a much smaller discount on Amazon (and they don't pay UK tax): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Death-Sentence-Monty-Nero/dp/1782760083/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393156190&sr=8-1&keywords=death+sentence+hardcover

The deluxe hardback is at the printers now. Hurrah! Here's the final cover (attached)

It's 192 pages, with a directors commentary and all the rare first and second edition covers - among other things. We spent ages putting it all together, and you get a real sense of the journey of a creator owned comic as you read it. There's a foreword by the inestimable Rob Williams.

Recommended Retail Price is 16.99 in the UK,  22.99 in the USA. and 25.95 in Canada.  Release date is June 18th 2014 from comic shops and July 22nd in book shops.

Thanks, Hawkmonger!

I got my copies of the collection this week. They look amazing. When Titan said "Deluxe Hardcover" they weren't kidding.

Definitely the best made hardback on my shelf right now.
