Mk13

I'm kind of interested to find out what they think that doing a live action version will add that's not in the original Akira - it's not as if the live action versions of stuff like Fist of the North Star and Crying Freeman were exactly stunning (though the latter wasn't terrible, by any means).

S'pose at least Norrington should be able to do the action elements well enough...

Buddy

I'm a bit cautious about the live action AKIRA. To do it justice the entire movie would need to take place in a CGI created environment, to get the proper feel of the city etc...

It's one of those things that will be either very good or fuckin' terrible.

We'll see, it my even never see the light of day.

my immediate thought upon reading uncle's above comments is:

TRON

i've wet my knickers!
steven l'enfant terrible
"We'll send all these nasty words to Aunt Jane. Don't you think that would be fun?"

O Lucky Stevie!

more importantly, where do i sign for a clangers movie? (you could get plone, pram & boards of canada to all contribute to the soundtrack)
