Boy, not been here in a loooooong time...

Here's what I've been listening to in last twenty minutes or so:

AC Acoustics - Crush https://youtu.be/fjWyq4Cblns
Urusei Yatsura - Hello Tiger https://youtu.be/nMVClobK63M
The Delgados - Pull The Wires From The Walls https://youtu.be/PsKfaSLulKc
Teenage Fanclub - Take The Long Way Around https://youtu.be/E-t1bjP2N7g
The Jesus And Mary Chain - Come On https://youtu.be/N3G_PsGmXys
Whatever happened to Rico, Dolman and Cadet Paris? I'm sooo out of the loop.

been listening muchly to an ozzie singer/songwriter by the name of Courtney Barnett. Quirky laid back observational wordplay in a cool accent.

I impressed myself with my use of new-fangled technologies with this - I'd heard one song on the radio that I liked but didn't catch the name - when I heard the song a few days later in a bar I SHAZAMed it to identify the artist and then SOUNDCLOUDed her to get a playlist.

Seconded. Played her latest way too much over the past year...

I swoon over her pronunciation of the letter O as in * Oh no, next thing i know/They call up triple o/
I'd rather die than owe the hospital/Till I get old"

Been listening to "At Swim", the stunning new album from Irish singer/song-writer Lisa Hannigan.

Below is a link to a video of "Fall", one of the songs on the album, followed by a review from the Telegraph.

Current faves.....

Sabaton - The Last Stand (Totally awesome)
Anthrax - For All KIngs
Dream Theater - The Astonishing (trying to like it...really, I'm trying)

plus...a Leonard Cohen CD I had from a charity shop, the Complete Flanders and Swann and a ripped from Youtube copy of the Rutland Weekend Songbook (ERic Idle/Neil Innes.)

I have diverse tastes...
"I've got 'em.....I just ain't scratching!'

Definitely Not Mister Pops

I am not a Goth, I have never been a Goth. I actually hate Goths*, but I have been listening to a lot of The Cure, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy and a hell of a lot of Gary Numan

*Shit, that's a major Goth characteristic isn't it?  :-\
You may quote me on that.

Haha gotcha!  Are you clad in black and shoe gazing more often than normal?
Mr Eldritch denies being a goth so don't worry, your secret is safe with us.

For no particular reason I have been listening to Mortiis: "Smell of Rain" album and Lords of Acid for the last couple of days.   Normally I'm listening to 36 Crazy Fists, Engel or The Cure

I bought my sister the best of Sisters of Mercy recently & it came with one of those auto-downloads you get on Amazon for my Ipod...

...I'm still plucking up the courage to play it & may have to get the old Bradley story out to help me on my return to goth... after all I better get ready for the Cure gig in November!  :)

Christian Fitness - This Taco is not correct

Brilliant stuff from the mad-muppet voice of McLusky and Future of the Left (both brilliant bands as well).

My fav. song probably is "your favourite band wants you dead".

Encourage everyone to give it a listen :)

Atreides

Ghost - Square Hammer from their new EP, Popestar;)
I must not Fear. Fear is the mind-killer
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration
I will face my Fear
I will permit it to pass over me and through me
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path
Where the Fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Electric Six - Randy's Hot Tonight

(I love Electric Six so much! I've seen them nine or ten times, twice on a boat, gonna see them again in a couple weeks)

Singer from Future of the left/McLusky. Brilliant as always. Your favourite band wants you dead especially.

The new Sepultura song I am the Enemy from the album Machine Messiah, out in January 2017.

Enjoy!
"Where once you fought to stop the trap from closing...Now you lay the bait!"

That's a bit tasty - a bit of a Chaos AD vibe to it.

I've been pretty much listening to just the following 5 albums on shuffle for the last few months:

Dead Label - Throne of Bones
Meshiaak - Alliance of Thieves
Armored Saint - Win Hands Down
Paradise Lost - The Plague Within
Alter Bridge - The Last Hero
Peas sell. But who's Brian?
