Judge Burdis may be away at another signing but a few of us staying in London Sector will be going to Forbidden Planet, and onwards to the usual post-signing pub.

Signing: Clint Langley, Alec Worley, Ben Willsher and Frazer Irving at Forbidden Planet, 179 Shaftsbury Avenue, London

Pub:  Crown & Anchor, Neal Street, Covent Garden (one of the roads directly opposite FB).

p.s. I don't know why, but this forum keeps messing up my formatting - oh for plain text!

Steve Green

Afraid I'm not going to be making any signings I need to crack on doing the post production for Strontium Dog.

COMMANDO FORCES

I couldn't get the time off in the end. DAMN THEM TO HELL! So Eastbourne is now off for me. Have fun and get pictures!

SuperSurfer

I will be there.

Can't wait to get my hands on this Prog 2000 thing people keep going on about for some reason.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

There'll be at least four of us...

Eamonn Clarke

Five made it to the pub and while Sheridan, Rachael and I recorded what may be the noisiest podcast yet (The Ballad of Halo Jones), Iain and Chris watched on and acted as security. We also saw Guy at Forbidden Planet and spoke to many interesting peeps in the queue. I handed out lots of cards for podcast as I have no shame, and also chatted with the always affable and knowledgeable Molch-R and reocrded something for the advent calander.

A good time was had by the few.

Clint, Frazer and Alec signing with Sheridan standing for John Burdis in the photobombing role.

And the Droids at work. Ben Willsher was unwell, get well soon, Ben
http://and a couple of little additions to the Note book which is off to Thought Bubble next.

Just checking in after a busy weekend to say I thoroughly enjoyed Saturday. There was a massive queue for the signing at FP which snaked around the basement. I forgot to take snaps at FP but here is one of the gang in the Crown & Anchor. Drinks were followed by the obligatory excellent meal at the Punjab restaurant.

COMMANDO FORCES

Great picture and it looks like it was an enjoyable signing.

An excellent day at the Eastbourne signing on Saturday.

Fantastic turn out of squax of old and hopefully new squax to come!

The Droids were signing and sketching like their lives depended on it.

It was great to have a quick chat with many of the droids and meeting Mike McMahon was a huge honour.

I was on a rather short timescale but managed to get my Prog signed from all the attending droids and grab a couple of sketches from the gracious Boo Cook and Mike McMahon- so two more off the bucket list!

Would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the droids who attended and for Scorch Comics and 2000AD for organising such a fabulous event!

Do it all again in about a month :-)

The 40th bash is looking mighty (one) tempting! :)

A cracking day - and weekend - all told.
Weather wasn't the best on Saturday, but the rain only really came in fits and starts, and if you are safely ensconced in a comic shop/pub/curry house, then it doesn't really matter.
Great to meet up, again, with the Southern Contingent members, who made this Nort feel more than welcome.

And great to listen in on another of Dr Clarke's Mega City book club recordings. Sheriden and Rachael sounded like they had Halo Jones completely covered, so looking forward to hearing the finished podcast. (Just hope me and SuperSurfer chatting away in the background doesn't show up too much...)

Got a few more signatures - made a start on getting Thrill Power Overload fully signed by everyone connected to the Prog, bought a few pieces - Dust 1 & 2, Steve MacManus' book, and as they was readily available; the rest of the variant covers for Prog 2000... (Just the 2nd printing to get now,  ;) )

So, a grand time was had, and roll on February, to do it all again.

COMMANDO FORCES

The torture of getting all those names in the book now begins :o
