Just back from taking my daughter to the cinema and I think the Lego Batman Movie might be the best superhero movie of the last 10 years. It skewers the inherent silliness better than Deadpool while still being a very satisfying action movie. Older viewers will also get a kick out of the many references to comics and films past. Definitely worth a trip to the cinema, even if you don't have a young kid.

It's also a brave move on Warner/DC's part. I wonder if the parody is so effective that it effectively means that they'll need to find new ways to use the character.

I don't think of Calendar Man as that obscure any more since the Long Halloween.
Excellent to see lesser villains included, smacks of a genuine care and interest in the subject matter.

Tony Angelino

Calendar Man has also had a small part in the 'Arkham' games for XBOX and PlayStation so he's known to gamers as well.

I might be tempted to the cinema to see this film.

I went to see this yesterday and really enjoyed it.
It's good fun from start to finish ... would recommend whether you have kids or not.

And Lego Joker is way better than Leto's Joker ...
