just finished reading this on my way into work this morning and wow what a collection this was

Started off with The Cursed Earth Saga and the action never let up from there

The Cursed Earth Saga was brilliant and interesting to see more of  the world building that went on out with Mega City 1 at the time. A great character in Spikes and fun to see his character change over the course of the story line, also hints of a character from the magnificent seven (Harry Luck) with him at the end.

Then from that straight into The Day The Law Died and this was magnificent with the tyrant Cal and his crazed rule of Mega City 1, the Kreegs being introduced and some of my favourite side characters so far with deputy chief judge fish and judge schmaltz. Superb stuff and got the real feeling of the desperate situation and the dangerous unpredictable Cal

The stories afterwards were good and alright but to be fair couldn't really compete with the epic stories that went before

All in all a superb read
We'll give them back their heroes

That's good news as I am tempted to get stuck into Case Files Vol 3 straight away

Volume 3 is, for me anyway, where Dredd cements itself as the work horse for the prog. Man classic serials in '79-'80.

Rogue Judge

Being relatively new to the Galaxies Greatest Comic myself I get excited seeing others discovering Dredd, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I started reading the Case Files just over a year ago and have since purchased the first 20 volumes. They are just that good and addictive, when you finish reading one volume you will immediately need the next!

After reading 19 volumes the Cursed Earth still stands as one of my favorite stories. If you are craving more you can also consider reading the Cursed Earth Uncensored which included colour spreads and additional progs not included in Case Files v.2 (vark did a great review on his blog well worth reading found here: http://myabsolutecollection.blogspot.ca/2016/08/judge-dredd-cursed-earth-uncensored.html)

Vol 3. has the Dark Judges and Judge Anderson (and Bolland art), I recommend picking it up right away. Most people comment that Dredd really hits its peak starting with vol. 5 which is the Apocalipse War. Keep collecting and reading the Case Files, you wont regret it!
